The travel LiteBrite isn't that great. The pegs fall out easily if you tilt it at all. The storage compartment only just holds the pegs they give, so those are easy to spill. It doesn't come with any black paper, so the designs don't stand out as well as a real LiteBrite.

I saw this in a store (it was on sale for $8) and had to pick it up so my 4 year old (and myself) could play with it simply for my own nostalgia. It was a great occupier for an international flight. BUT it does not come with black paper, so I cut my own out of construction paper & made designs for him. Also, the on/off light switch does not work, it just stays ON, so I just carried batteries in a ziploc. I can not imagine paying over $8 for it, so comparison shop other places!
