4.0 out of 5 stars The Trump game is "not fired"
My husband and I love watching The Apprentice. The Trump Game is fun, whether you are business minded, or just like to play games. One thing you should know is that it is a 3-4 player game. We did not know this when we bought it, but luckily have friends who enjoy playing with us.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as bad as others think
So this isn't the greatest game in the world, but it isn't the worst either. My sister and I have had fun playing it the past couple days. Its a lot like Monopoly but is a lot shorter. It adds to the auction the classic "You're fired" from the Apprentice, which is fun to say to your opponent to get them out of the bidding. However, it does take a while to set up and...

It adds to the auction the classic "You're fired" from the Apprentice, which is fun to say to your opponent to get them out of the bidding. However, it does take a while to set up and the rules were confusing at first. I would advise buying it from Wal-Mart instead of on here, since I got the game for only $17.50 there.

This Game really taught me a lot about the world of business and it is a great game overall. You have to play this game with a competitive spirit and with others who like to win.

I still have the original version from long ago and I bought this one to see how its been changed. I think that anyone who gets serious about board games should own this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strategical and fun, July 6, 2006
This review is from: TRUMP the Game (Toy)
Saying that is game is sophisticated and difficult is true, to an extent. Once you understand gameplay, it rocks. It's simple, whoever makes the most $ wins. It's not long and played out like monopoly and the objectives are basic and important nonetheless. It is so fun to participate in bidding and be strategical with your card-hand. The game has important elements, and it is incredible how those elements are used and the interaction of everyone's gameplay to see the final, important result. You have various ways of earning. You can get property and hope that others land on it continuously, but you have to be careful not to overbid in the acquisition. You can make deals with other players who don't have as much $, making them desperate and you profitable. Or you can get cash during bidding or play cards on properties owned. The game rocks when you get the hang of it, and is better than any other in my opinion. Excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Trump Game, January 18, 2007

We had hours of family fun over the Christmas Holidays. All eight of us played and it was fun and made us all think quite a bit. All directions were clear and precise and that made the game easier to play.

Once I understood the instructions, which were not hard, it was so much fun to play that I have taught my grandchildren in playing. They just love playing the game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very confusing -- but in a fun way, July 26, 2010

I just bought this game for the second time in my life. The first time I found it in an antique shop when I was in college (left it behind because it didn't fit in my compact car when I was moving away). The second time I found it on a certain online auction site that shall remain nameless (there are lots of copies available there, BTW, for 99 cents). This game is dear to my heart even though I know it will never be beloved by the masses. Basically, it's kind of like Monopoly except way dorkier and more complex. Instead of simply buying properties and collecting rent, you have to engage in bidding wars with people. Also, somehow the concept of "equity" is woven into the game. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one among my friends who actually figured out how to play this (I tried writing a simplified version of the rules to help others out, but it really did no good).

Anyway, if you're a business dork who gets the concepts of wheeling and dealing and knows at least a few basic things about real estate (and for some reason thinks they're fun), then you might really enjoy this game. I'm kind of a business geek, but my boyfriend is an even bigger one. As soon as I get my new copy in the mail, I intend to teach him how to play it and try to invent a "drinking" version. I'd be happy to post the rules as soon as I figure it out.

1.0 out of 5 stars The WORST game I have EVER played!!!, December 28, 2004

This game is incredibly boring. The only thing you can do in this game is basicly an auction. If you like to "Fire" somebody else from an auction or play "The Donald" card to get back in the bidding this is a game for you. I suggest that you never buy this game. You might as well save your money.

It takes a Phd. to set up and figure out how to play this game, or at least it does if you are ADHD. It's a complicated version of monopoly that isn't near as fun. Save your money. Buy all the versions of "Scene It?" instead.
