Weebles: Barn Dance

I loved weebles when I was younger and wanted my 2 yr old to experience some of the same joy. The product although well made doesn't seem to have the "exciting" effect that the toys r us website makes it look like it does.

PROS
- Extremely durable
- No removable parts to lose (other than the 2 weebles)
- DD loves the 2 songs that it plays. They are very catchy... Oh Susanna and (***I can't remember what the other was - but it was upbeat and catchy)
- Very easy for small child to push silo down
- Very easy for small child to place weebles in their various spots around the barn (ie the slide, garden, dance area, etc)
- Music seemed to be at a tolerable noise level.
- Weebles are very cute

CONS
- The actions (ie barrel bounce, garden spin, etc) do not really move that much. The weebles tend to "slip" as the garden turns, so not much action. The barrel bounce doesn't "lift" the weeble very high, so it only moves slightly.

ALL IN ALL A DURABLE TOY. NOT SURE THAT I WOULD PAY $20 FOR IT THOUGH (DD RECEIVED AS GIFT)... WISH THE "ACTIONS" LASTED A BIT LONGER FOR EACH PUSH OF THE SILO, BUT IT'S EASY ENOUGH FOR SMALL CHILDREN TO DO OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN :)

My 13 month old and my 4 year old love this toy. It's one of the few toys that brings them together to play nicely. Even thought it has music, I think it's at a perfect volume. I'd really encourage anyone to buy this one.

This was a present bought for my son's 1st Birthday! It is one of his most played with toys. He loves the songs and bounces with the music b/c it is very upbeat. He is able to push the silo on his own to start the weebles movement and hear the music. He took very little time figuring out how to operate the toy by himself! We love it! One of the best gifts we received.
When I first saw it I thought he'll never play with that there isn't enough to it, but boy was I wrong and Grandma was right!

Me and my husbadn purchased the whole Weebleville set for our 1 year old daughter for christmas and she loves them all, along with our 3 year old son. We love them because toddlers get fustrated when toys fall over, these don't...
We played with this when we were little and glad somebody came back out with them.
This is a perfect gift for any child!!!!!!

My kids 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 love the Weebles toys. Between this and the Weebleville Town toy I have lots of extra free time to clean and cook! Woo-hoo! Its keep their attention for a long time.

I think the last reviewed may not understand how the toy works. It is pretty simple you push down the silo that makes the spinning, bobbing go. My son got this at 9 months and loves it. He enjoys moving the webbles around and pushing the silo. I think the webbles are a better choice for 9-18 months than the 'Little People' since they are easier to handle and can spin and slide. Great toy I will be buying more webbles for my son.

My daughter got this toy for her 1st birthday and plays with it constantly! She dances everytime she presses the barn top in. She will pass over her other toys to play this one. We even bought it for another friend and she played with it in the cart the whole time. She loves to carry the weebles around and put them down the slide. Great toy for any baby!!! It has always put a smile on my daughter's face!!

We got this for our daughters 2nd birthday (in a week). She hasn't actually gotten it yet but, she snuck into my room (where it was hidden) and started playing with it. She already has some Weeble people and loves them, she was sliding her people down the slide and playing the music. When I asked her what she was doing she said "It's FUN!". Then she screamed when I put it away. So I would say the fun rating is way up there. It is simple enough not to overwhelm her but exiting enough to keep her attention.
My daughter has 2 older sisters so most of the toys she plays with and wants to play with are not age appropriate, This (and the other weebles)is the first toy for her age that has kept her attention.

We bought the Barn Dance to go with the Town Center. My daughter really only plays with the Town Center. The barn is really kind of borning in that there is no music and one spinning part. We are going to buy the Tree House next.

Its an ok toy for maybe 30 seconds, alot in the toddler world too;) My daughter recieved this toy as a gift at about 14 months and now she's 22 months. She plays with it for less than a minute and moves on to just about anything else. She already knows all the animals and they are dificult to chew or play with. It seems more exciting or interactive then what it really is. Its really pretty huge as far as pretend toys go- Its been stored for months now. We only take out once in a blue moon, it just doesnt get played with, even though we have the tractor too. Have to say everything works ok, the sounds and movement its just my daughter finds it really dull. She actually polays with the Little People Farm toy way more And that doesnt even have sounds.
