5.0 out of 5 stars i wish i knew more, January 28, 2005

This review is from: Hash (Audio CD)
This record is one of those buys from the discount bin. my buddies actually picked it up before i did the same way... but when i heard it, i had to hunt one down. this is a great record. there are elements of rock, a little funk, jam parts and some great catchy choruses. in my circle of friends, this is one of those bands we wish could find out more about. i have no idea who they are, where they are now or what they're doing. its just this used record we picked up and all agreed it was a treasure find. i recommend this if you might be looking for some new music though its old. chances are, it will be new to you like it was to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best unknown band I ever heard!, May 5, 2008
This review is from: Hash (Audio CD)
This three man band from NY delivered some of the best melodic roaring rock you'll ever here. You'll be amazed how each and every song grows on you and gets better each time you hear it. This CD is the best kept secret of the 1990's. It's a mix of Nirvana, The Police, Alice in Chains, Jane's Addiction and The Stone Temple Pilots...Get this CD! Its a classic and belongs with the best!

4.0 out of 5 stars Outrageous Retropop art rock fuzz intermeshed with an ocean of harmony, December 21, 2005

haha i picked an ol' stylin ibanez up at some secondhand store today real cheap and what do you know i find this crazy ass hash cd in a bargain bin... ah what can i say? probably the fact that these guys are tight and absolutely impulsive as teenage suicide in terms of riffs and bass lines... the drums compliment the music real well and i think these guys just refused the whole band life thing... i think they had an idea ran with it and let it go... forever apparently. Great album - made at a strange time yet accomplishes something else in these times right now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awsome hidden treasure, August 20, 2005
This review is from: Hash (Audio CD)
This record rocks. Most tunes are driven by funky percussive bass playing and vocals that are close in range to Blind Mellon vocals, only much more layered with tight harmonies and faster delivery. The whole record in tightly produced. This one definitely falls into best-band-no-one's-ever-heard-of category. The band must have signed the "no promotion" clause on their contract with Elektra.
