Great for Hasselblad collectors and users alike,
By
This review is from: Hasselblad System Compendium (Hardcover)
The Hasselblad System Compedium by Richard Nordin surveys the plethora of the cameras and accessories designed by or for Hasselblad AB. It is divided in to the collectibles, which include the 1600/1000 series of cameras, and the post 1957 models which include the 500, Superwides, and 2000/200 series of cameras and the Flex/ArcBody. This work includes photos of most of the camera bodies, lenses, prisms/finders, screens, backs, caps, cases, bellows, flash units, adapters, and other accessories. It even includes some on-off items like the 1000mm Mirortar and other factory demos/prototypes and NASA-commissioned models. Included for the C type lenses are approximate serial number blocks for determining the dat of manufacture of those lenses, and also how to determine the date of manufacture of the camera body from the serial number. Though this book is complete up to 1997, it is becoming dated if one is interested in the latest equipment for the Hasselblad system. This book was invaluable in my gauging equipment for piecing together my Hasselblad "kit" from used camera dealers and auction sites. The updated edition also stops at 1997, so none of the newer equipment is included.

This review is from: Hasselblad System Compendium (Hardcover)
This book talks about almost every Hasselblad camera and accessory. It gives a history on each as well. If you are looking for instructions this is not for you. I enjoyed reading about some the history and all the old wierd items.
