2.0 out of 5 stars Tactically unsound, March 28, 2008

Look and feel of these gloves are great. They are lightweight, comfortable, and thin enough to grip zippers, pins, etc.
I bought these gloves to replace the pair that the Army issued me while deployed. Those gloves lasted a few months through various missions and work related tasks. They were very similar to these gloves, except that they extended farther down the arm.
After receiving these gloves, which arrived quickly, I immediately put them to work. After one three-day mission, I had a blowout where one finger pushed through the material connected to the leather material. Over the next two weeks, the green material near the finger nails, and the outer portion of the palm started to fray and separate. Within a month, these gloves were done.
If you want to look cool, these gloves are for you. If you intend to use them for what they are designed for, don't buy these. Although they provide strong grip and comfort during trigger squeeze and reloading, they cannot survive the lifting, M1151 door pulls (400 lb doors), and terrain associated with military movements.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing gloves, March 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I just got these gloves Wednesday and they are amazing! For the record, a small is actually a size 8. I bought small thinking they would fit a little snugger(I'm actually a size medium usually) and to my surprise they fit like mediums only better. Amazing fit, quality and extremely good looking gloves. Nomex/kevlar blend is soft but tough and kangaroo leather palms are strong supple and the perfect amount of tacky. Great dexterity when wearing these I love them. And it only took 2 1/4 days from the time I ordered to the time they were delivered. A+
