4.0 out of 5 stars Take With A Grain Of Salt FSU Fans...
The book is funny. This work probably should not be taken seriously. The book is humorous and worth the five dollars it cost me.
Consider this before you bash the book, unless you're a Gator fan (like me...), in that case enjoy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for the educated football fan (or any college fb fan)
I'm not sure where the author got his facts from. Especially since FSU has a great record against out-of-conference opponents, and many of the graduates have become successful professionals outside of football and within. Unfortunate that someone decided to publish this.

Mr. Finebaum superbly demonstrates that he is a true fan of the University of Florida (motto: where Probation is a Tradition). Unfortunately, that is the only thing superb about this pathetic attempt at humor. May I suggest an alternate title: "If you can't beat 'em (and we can't), whine about it!"

5.0 out of 5 stars the only thing wrong is that it ISNT harsh enough..., July 23, 2007
fSu is pure evil. they sold their souls to have a short, undeserved period of success on the back of other more deserving programs. i always knew that once florida finally got away from that cloud of ncaa sanctions, that the tide would swing away from f$u, and sure enough, thats what happened. they were also rans in the 70s and 80s until they ratted out Florida, and even then their 2 alleged 'titles' are severely tainted w/questionable judgement and wrong doing. they runied 2 seasons of football with the bitter ending, so it is nice to FINALLY see them paying the price.

this boook could say they are all evil, and if you went there you are the holder of a worthless degree, and it wouldnt be harsh enough. f$u deserves to simply be erased from memory, and when they FINALLY have to pay for all the crap theyve done (no one would choose to go there to play footb all or any other sport when you coul dgo ANYWHERE else to a real school, so i guarantee money was involved...) it will be a good day for the idea of justice.

I am a University of Florida English Major. This book lacks fair and balanced coverage of all of the major college football powers. The scrutinization of one team means your only basis for comparison is itself. Seems the author is a bit bitter for some reason.

5.0 out of 5 stars On the mark!, March 5, 1999

Now here is a book that illustrates how football players at FSU can graduate while not being able to read or write. FSU has long recruited the dumbest and corrupt high school football players. What the author points out is how FSU lets these players drink, use drugs, and "have fun" with female student body. Also interesting is the schedule that FSU plays. Calling it the easiest schedule in the land might go a little far, but the author does point out that FSU continues to loose to ranked teams, in particular the SEC (Fla,Tenn).

I am an FSU alumn, but it is time we admit that we have a questionable team at best.
