1.0 out of 5 stars Insufferabe -- One Star Because I Could Not Give It Zero, December 13, 2003

I found this in a local bookstore. Needless to say I would not spend a dime on it, but had to look through it. As a graduate of Kansas State University (M.S., 1978) I have to say that any publisher who would entertain such a worthless diatribe on ANY institution of higher education -- yes, even K.U. or Mizzou -- is as much an idiot as the author. Kansas State, particularly in the past twenty years, has become a distinguished public university in terms of the number of Truman, Wilson, etc. scholars (rivaling Stanford, Duke, and the Ivy League). It's debate teams have been nationally ranked. It's football program and women's athletics have gone from dismal to highly competitive, indeed respected. The university has made a profound investment in its educational and athletic facilties. Certainly Manhattan, Kansas is not a mecca of urban riches; nevertheless, it is an outstanding college town and a fine community. If you're in to bashing rather than building, waste your money on this book. Otherwise, donate it to the educational institution of your choice.

1.0 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE--Dont waste your money!, October 9, 2007
This review is from: I Hate Kansas State: 303 Reasons Why You Should, Too (Paperback)
As a KSU grad I find it amazing that someone would waste money on this book. After viewing it at a book store, I flipped through it and was amazed at such stupidity. Please, instead of wasting your money, donate the money to the University of your choice.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't buy it but I picked it up and flipped through it., December 1, 2006
This review is from: I Hate Kansas State: 303 Reasons Why You Should, Too (Paperback)
Wasted my time on picking this up. However, it does make you wonder if you could be a writer and make money writing about the top ten reasons not to get a job. This is just another example of bad writing making money. It is all about the allure of the title. If you tick a few people off you have a winner. Heck it is a parody what else can we expect. For just being about KSU it is not. This guy wrote 303 things I hate about KU, Michigan, Georgia, Kentucky, and even Notre Dame...just to name a few.
