Hands down the best kids' raincoat we've found (and we've gone through a few). My favorite feature is the terry lining - there is none of that clammy, tacky feel that generally accompanies unlined rain coats, and the kids willingly wear these with short sleeves during the warmer rains, without fear of that "icky" feeling of damp plastic sticking to skin. The outer polyurethane shell is high quality, as well - it's fabric-like and flexible, rather than stiff or crackly; it holds up brilliantly in the rain (no leaks whatsoever), but is soft enough that the kids have also used these coats scrunched up as pillows on many a long car ride home. (Even better, the shell is PVC-free.) My 3-year-old loves this strawberry design, and I think the empire seam detail is awfully sweet. (My 5-year-old son has the alligator version of this coat, equally adored.) My only complaint is that, as another reviewer said, they seem to run a bit small. I ordered a size up for both of my average-height kids (size 6 for my son's 5th birthday and a size 4 for my daughter's 3rd birthday), hoping to hang on to them for a couple for years, but it looks like we may only get a year out of them. (Not worth knocking a star, though, since it's not reflection of the construction or comfort, and I'll know better the next time we order our Hatley rain coats.) Overall, worth every penny.

I love that this coat is insulated- making it softer and more comfortable. The sleeves look nice rolled up if you purchase it a little large. The snaps are easy for our daughter to undo herself which she enjoys. The design is very cute and looks especially nice with the matching rain boots. It keeps my daughter dry and the quality is great!
