5.0 out of 5 stars Great rhythm game! August 29, 2013

I imported the Japanese version when it was released and I bought the American version on release as well. Both are identical in terms of content and it's amazing to finally play the game with translated menus. A lot of customization and unlockables, can't wait to get them all. Hopefully the DLC comes too. Buy it to show Sega we want more of this in the US, and hopefully they localize more quirky games.

5.0 out of 5 stars A joy to play August 29, 2013
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I usually suck at games like this (first time playing Guitar Hero, I swear the game was laughing at me because I was so terrible), but I have to say that I am enjoying the playthrough of this game. I am new to the Vocaloid genre (I knew about it but only just starting listening to them), but I must say I like listening to the songs and enjoy the videos (sometimes you can forget that they are a computer program and not real people). Now I only went through easy, and working on the normal difficulty but it does not get boring. I hope they bring some add ons later, as well as new costumes and other things for the interactive part of the game. If you like Hitsune or the genre in general you will enjoy this game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fresh, Fantastic, Fabulous, and most of all, FUN! August 27, 2013

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This game is probably one of the best music games i ever played.
The songs are catchy,
the music is memorable,
and the costume customisation is off the hook!

To sum it all up, this game is wonderful. Being released on the PS3 in Japan back in spring and on the PS Vita last year, this game got popular demand when Sega released a picture of Hatsune Miku on their twitter page by sharing it too many times to count which brings us to this; a fully localised, fresh, fun and fabulous game that will impress any Miku/Vocaloid fan!

In all, there are 39 songs for you to unlock all being custom made by producers like Kz, Oster Project and even Dixie Flatline! There are four stages of difficulty to challenge old and new Vocaloid/Miku fans, even veterans!

New to the Project Diva Francise is the Miku Room where you can customise the rooms that the Vocaloids reside in, you can also interact with them by patting them, by giving them gifts and even playing Rock Paper & Scissors with them!

Buy it now! This game is Fresh, Fabulous, Fantastic, and most of all, FUN!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars OH MY GOD! I LOVE YOU SEGA! August 29, 2013

just got this baby in the mail earlier this week and have been playing this for a few days now and clocked in 16 hours. I am ABSOLUTELY loving this game even though it may seem geared to females or casual players, the majority of gamers that buy this game are pretty much males! So yeah, Hatsune Miku is a MAJOR guilty pleasure of mine since I dig her music and the voice. I am so glad SEGA brought this over to america and when I first heard about it, I pre-ordered the game ASAP! Now hopefully SEGA will bring the Nintendo 3DS hatsune miku games to america and JUST maybe we can get Miku to do a massive USA TOUR! woot! anyways, if you are a Hatsune Miku fan, SUPPORT AND BUY THIS GAME ASAP! Oh don't whine because you wanted the VITA version, BUY THIS PS3 VERSION since this is all we got for now and we should be THANKFUL for that. Who knows, if this game sells enough copies and shows enough support maybe SEGA will release the VITA version via PSN network! So do your part and BUY this game asap!

I played the demo for this game not long after it came out on PSN. My brother and I both fell in love with the demo and played it for hours. Upon getting the final product, I can say that it's everything I expected and much more. I will openly admit that I am new to the Miku/vocaloid scene, so this is from the perspective of someone who, prior to this, had barely even heard of Hatsune Miku.
The game has multiple modes to choose from, so I'll give a brief synopsis of them now.

Rhythm Game- This is where you'll likely spend most of your time in the game. Project Diva F has a rather diverse song selection of around 40 tracks. The songs cover multiple genres from rock to pop (they are almost all extremely catchy though). I don't speak a word of Japanese, but even I find these songs to be surprisingly good. You start with a small selection of songs and unlock new ones as you progress through the rhythm game. There are four different difficulties (Easy, normal, hard, and extreme), and depending on which song you are playing (and how good you are at the game), even easy mode could pose a slight difficulty. All-in-all, an incredibly woryhwhile experience that is fun, addictive, and rewarding. I say rewarding due to the fact that completing songs gets you DP (Diva Points), which you use to buy various costumes/modules, accessories, gifts for the characters, and room items (we'll get to the last two soon).

Studio- In the studio, there are two different modes. They're not TOO significant, but I'll cover them here briefly.

One of the most popular and best rhythm games featuring VOCALOID idol Hatsune Miku has now been localized to US. Very fun rhythm game for all skill levels with difficulty from Easy, Normal, Hard, and Extreme that challenges all skill levels. Also features plentiful customization of all characters which can be unlocked through points playing the game. There are unlimited choices and ways to play including Edit Play, Network, Diva Room, and the live Studio.
