The hat arrived 4 days after I ordered it which is much earlier than I expected because they do not allow to track your package. As for the lack of sizing detail I was afraid that it would be too small but the hat fits fine... just a little tight around the sides. Looking from underneath, the hat seems to have an oval shape instead of a circular shape like most Fedora hats. I own another Fedora hat from the Hatter company but this one is branded with "JFH Headwear." A tip for any speculating customers, the hat is a Medium 58. Hope this review helps!

This is an excellent hat for the money. I ordered the "hot pink" and it is a true, vibrant "electric pink" color, with a quality black fabric band. It fits snugly on my adult son's very large head (he usually wears a men's extra-large hat or 7-3/4). This should fit even the largest of men's heads, but would also looks cute on a woman. It would likely need a little padding around the inside to fit on a women with a smaller head. (I would not recommend it for a child due to its generous proportions.)

I was expecting pretty poor quality, since it was so inexpensive - but I was pleasantly surprised! It is stiff and substantial with a very generous brim (not the typical cheap-fedora "stingy brim"). Note, it is a slightly open-weave summer fabric and not a felt or cloth hat. The bright pink certainly makes a statement . . . my son loves it!

I am an old lady who likes to wear slightly off-beat attire sometimes. I happen to look good in a narrow-brim Fedora, and I already have 2 of them in felt. I wear them tipped to the right or left, depending on my mood or hairdo.
For about $11 and ~$4.50 shipping, I got my very comfortable, good-looking fine-gauge natural color straw Fedora with the black band, in about a week. It arrived in perfect condition and I could not find any defect.
I always get compliments whenever I wear it.

She has a big head. I have an average size head. This hat runs HUGE. On the plus side, it looks fab on her & she literally hasn't taken it off since I gave it to her. On the minus side, BOO. I needed me a hat!

I bought this hat because I was looking for a nice straw fedora. I wasn't sure if it'd fit or if it was the exact type I wanted because there was only one picture but, I took a chance and it is exactly what I was looking for.

I'd say the inside of the hat measures about 22" in circumference (in case you're wondering if it will fit). I measured my head around where I was planning on wearing my hat. My head measures slightly larger than the size of the hat so, if I wear it closer to the top of my head, it fits just fine. If I wear the hat where I would normally wear a hat (lower, closer to my ears), it is a snug fit but, not uncomfortable. The hat I received has a small tag from "angela & william" (tm). It also indicates the hat is one size and made of 100% straw paper. The inside of the hat I received also has a soft white lining. The hat isn't scratchy or anything like that (to me). It's quite comfortable to wear and I think perfect to wear in most weather. It began to drizzle the day I wore it and the hat is just fine. It didn't feel like any rain got through (although, again, it was just a drizzle...not a downpour). The hat looks just like the picture and is very nice. It seems durable. I stuffed it into a a duffel bag and when it came time to take it out, I thought it'd be ruined as it looked wrinkled in one area. All I had to do was put it on again and it regained it's form. You can barely tell where it was wrinkled.

I think fedoras are regaining popularity as I've seen many people wearing them as of late. The first day I decided to wear it out I saw someone in the subway wearing the same exact one (which I found to be a funny coincidence). Anyway, if you're looking for a straw fedora, this one is pretty great and at a good price. I received it quickly as well.

I bought the black colored hat and it looks nothing like what is pictured above. The material is very flimsy and its shape/form is completely disfigured. It's not even made by The Hatter Co., let alone have a company tag at all.

A friend of mine bought the same style/color hat from Venice Beach, CA for $20 (made by The Hatter Co.) and it looks exactly like what is pictured above and it's also pretty sturdy. I fell in love with that hat and checked amazon to see if it's being sold. It showed me the above product & I was filled with joy, feverishly waiting for it to arrive- only to be disappointed with this junky version of it.

Overall, I'm just really pissed that it's not the product being sold, but some knock off garbage that looks nothing like what is being shown above. I wish there is some way I can return what I have to the seller & have the real product sent to me.


Private Island, I would like to return this item & get the real product I paid for. Please tell me how we can get this done.

Nice looking hat, but the brim rests on my ears. I wear a size 7 1/4 baseball hat. My friend has a bigger head (size 7 3/4) so I let him try it. Just a little too small for him.

Well, I saw some other fedora cuban style hats in amazon from private island, I saw reviews saying that the hat was big even for some guys, wich lead me to think this hat was ok for me or my dad, so I bought the natural color fedora hat with the grand total of $14.95 after shipping (wich was a little bit cheaper than the other private island fedora hats, but exactly the same picture of the product). After a week, I got the package and to my sad surprise it was too little for me, really, its little like good for a 9 years old boy, so that was quite disappointing.. The company replied after one day of my complaint and they said that all those private island hats (the fedora cuban style) natural color like mine were all the same size.. and that they were all from the Hatter Co. (Eventhough my hat didnt come with any tag at all). I dont understand why they are different prices for them in amazon when they are all from the same company and exactly the same size (according to them). Anyway, be careful if you have a normal adult size head, this won't fit you. It is a cute little hat for my son and since I'm leaving I'll have to keep it for him and avoid the hassle. But they should put the hat meassurements instead of that "one size fits most" legend.

This item and the seller PRIVATE ISLAND are bunch of low life swindlers!! Don't buy this item from these guys, they are manipulative and deceitful in their transactions and business. First of all, they say one size fits all. THAT IS A LIE!!!! These hats are made for children!!! I don't care who you are, there is no way anyone would look at this hat and say, "This size will fit most." These people know that it won't, they just advertise that way because they want you to buy it. I don't even have a big head!!! When I got the hat, I emailed PRIVATE ISLAND and told them I want my money back. I gave them a poor review and they asked me to change it and I said that I gave them a poor review because of their false ads and the fact that they didn't offer to pay for the return shipping. They then told me that they would pay for the return shipping, if I get rid of the negative review. I thought that was fair, so I mailed them the hat and waited, and waited and waited and never got my refund. I emailed them 3 times and they NEVER RESPONDED. I finally had to file a claim with Amazon and got my money back BUT NOT WITH THE RETURN SHIPPING INCLUDED!! Private Island are a bunch of sneaky low-lives and I know they did that on purpose so that I wouldn't get my money back for return shipping!!!!!!!! DON'T SUPPORT PRIVATE ISLAND!! THEY HAVE HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES AND SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO MAKE A SINGLE PENNY OFF HONEST CONSUMERS!! All the people who gave them 5 stars just got lucky with their hats but if they had been one of the unlucky ones, they would have spend money on shipping just to wear a stupid overly small hat and have an unhappy experience! DON'T SUPPORT PRIVATE ISLAND PLEASE!
