Hatteras C-1028 Adventurer - Rio Birch - Cushioned Double Swing is made with the highest quality products in the industry. Hatteras uses a solution-dyed DuraCord, which equals colorfastness, stain - and mildew-resistance - and long outdoor life. Though made from synthetic yarn, DuraCord yields a cozy, cotton-like fabric. All DuraCord fabrics are custom-designed for our Hatteras Hammocks line. The quilted-fabric swings are pillowed-up with polyester fiberfill batting. All the hammock collections are designed with a close eye on the very latest color trends. The horizontal swing cushions, positively plump with polyester fiberfill batting, are stitched from outstanding all-weather fabric to be resistant to staining, rotting, mold and mildew. The wood as been varnished 3 times for extra durability and a nicer shine. The double swing comes with all the necessary hardware to install and hang (chains and hooks). *The canopy and stand are sold separately.

Amazon showed swing set for $300.00
Called prior to purchase to verify that swing set would be delivered as pictured. was assured by cust. serv. that it would. after shipping three swing seats, (no stand, no canape)cust, serv. decided that the swing set was advertised incorrectly on the web page. Had to have money returned. Stand and canape were sold separately for around $1000.00 dollars for whole set.

Yes, this item is ONLY the swing, not the stand, not the canopy. I am on my third swing in 10 years. We live in a harsh climate. This is the MOST COMFORTABLE seat. I bound out of bed thinking about how great it's gonna be to sit in my swing with my paper and coffee. When it comes, it is gorgeous. The fabric on this color seems a bit lighter weight than others, but it dries beautifully after a rain. The wood is gorgeous, but a word of caution: you MUST recoat with spar urethane yearly or it will crack and de-laminate - still be usable, but not so pretty. Yes, this swing is replacing a sadly neglected one :(. Store inside in the winter if you live in snow country.
I have had the canopy in the past and love it, but it makes the swing much more susceptible to wind. I have the metal stand, and very little (no) protection from wind and the whole stand will blow over in a big storm. Ultimately, the canopy broke. I decided to do without. I still need to take the swing down when I know we are getting big winds.
I ordered this swing for $40 less and free shipping on another site and it came within a week.
