These clear solid post caps are made to sit on top of a 6x6 fence or deck post for a decorative finishing touch. These caps are flush on the bottom and are designed to be for a 6x6 post that measures 5-1/2" by 5-1/2" square. These post caps can be attached by either applying exterior caulk to the under-side of the post cap, or by nailing the post cap to the post with finish nails. As with any exterior product, it is recommended to apply a good quality finish to preserve the wood's natural beauty and protect the post cap.
