I bought a hammock a year ago on Amazon, hoping that I could find somewhere or another to hang it. However, that proved not to be the case, and I finally broke down and bought a stand for it.I opened up the box, and inside was a mess of tubes, and endcaps. After about two minutes of assembly, which includes putting the tubes together via spring-loaded locking pins, and putting the rubber end-caps on, I had a fully assmebled hammock stand. Completely brainless, and easy as pie. The tubes aren't light, but they're light enough that virtually anyone could do the assembly on their own. Once together, I needed to get some chain to actually hang the hammock, since neither the stand, nor the hammock I bought came with chain. I ended up getting 5' of chain, but when you get yours, keep in mind that the hammock will stretch quite a bit. Of those 5' of chain, I'm now using about 2" on either side of the hammock. Once the whole deal was assembled, all that was left to do was jump in. The stand holds the hammock admirably, is indeed taupe, and has three major beams. Thus, the Tri-beam Taupe Hammock Stand performs exactly as advertised.

Very easy to assemble and more sturdy than most backyard trees. Did come missing an S hook though; otherwise, would have gotten 5 *s.

Appears to be able to support me and my dogs (uninvited, but curious!) and even another person without a problem. Only comment is that it would have been nice if it included a connector for hammocks that are less than its astoundingly huge 15ft length! I had to go out and buy some 800lb test chain and hack saw it to size. It now works great, but sawing steel is quite the task!

nice stand, paint has faded a bit after a year being stored outside exposed to the elements, but isn't peeling or exposing any metal. There are 3 segments, they all fit together easily and are reinforced to prevent breakage or bending, but they're freely attached. So if you need to move your hammock stand you'll need 2 people unless you push it, if you pull it, one of the angled arms will slide out of the horizontal bar. You could probably fix this yourself by drilling a hole through the bottom (horizontal) bar and into one of the arms to screw in a bolt, but the steel is very thick, about 3/16" or 1/4" thick.

This stand assembles easily and is perfect for large hammocks. Don't forget to get hooks and chains when you buy a hammock to fit this stand.

This hammock stand is very strong and durable. It was easy to assemble. The only drawback it has is the cross bar at the bottom of the hammock when put together. Before the hammock stretched out it easily turned over and you would fall on the crossbar. We bought a piece of foam pipe cover and placed it over the bar to prevent anyone else gettting hurt from falling off the hammock.

After 2 tries finally got it; my wife ordered it for me(to go w/matching hammock) and after a month Amazon had to credit her cc because UPS sent it back due to damage. I order it and get in 2 weeks. It's easy to assemble/disassemble. If you buy it go out and get 2"S" hooks mine were missing(seems other reviewers had same issue). I did call their 800# and was happily accomodated by the pleasant operator who apologized and is sending out the hooks. I still give it high ratings based on easy assemble. I can't wait for my hooks--going out to see if I can find some today so I can enjoy it w/our 16mth old son!

This stand just came and I put it together yesterday. The box was a little shaken up when it arrived, but no noticable damage to the stand. It feels very sturdy and solid (as it should). I assembled it alone with ease. There are only 5 tubes and they slide into eachother, so there is no confusion or head scratching involved. I do wonder why there are no drain holes in the bottom, but that's another story. One odd thing is that the "S" hooks that come with the stand are not entirely symmetrical, but there is nothing in the directions that says which way they should be hooked on. If it doesn't matter, why are they shaped that way? Regardless, they seem to fit and work fine.
This was purchased to go with the Carribean Jumbo Hammock that I got at the same time. They work perfectly together, but need either a chain or a "tree hugger" kit (which I happen to have) to span the extra distance between the stand and the hammock until the hammock stretches out. I layed in it for a little while and tried to rock back and forth - it always felt stable and solid so I think it will do well. I'll update if I discover anything worth writing about.

After many years of service, a similar stand of unknown make broke at one of the joints. It didn't have end caps to keep out water, and it rusted out where the water collected at the point of most stress. This model has end caps, and also has thicker tubing for the angled pieces that would be subject to rusting if the caps are lost. My stand arrived in a badly torn up box, but all the pieces and parts were inside. It was very easy to assemble; the spring pins are an improvement over the old version that was just a friction fit. With it being so easy to take apart and re-assemble, I might start taking it in for the winter. I am very happy with this stand.

I was surprised to find someone with the same problem. Neither the hammock stand package nor the hammock package contained the necessary accessories to hang the hammock! Luckily, my husband is handy and was able to make his own. I even attempted to email the company but never received a response. We do enjoy the product overall.
