It is a great stand. The biggest factor for me was motility. As the sun passes a certain section of trees in my backyard, I can easily move the stand to sit comfortably in the shade.

1.0 out of 5 stars Two teens are too much?
My hammock stand bent terribly out of shape. I've replaced the bolts, and hope the dents in the frame won't cause the new bolts to also bend.
The largest weight I've had it support are two fifteen-year-old girls -- possibly a combined weight of 225? Seems like the frame should've outlasted four months and two teens...

It is a great stand. The biggest factor for me was motility. As the sun passes a certain section of trees in my backyard, I can easily move the stand to sit comfortably in the shade.

It is very sturdy, attractive, and the shape is pleasing. It is larger than it appears in the picture, and accomadates a fifteen foot hammock.

It comes with these "Z" hooks that makes it incredibly easy to take the hammock down and put it up again. Moreover, assembly took a matter of minutes - you'll need a flathead screwdriver and a 9/16th ratchet/wrench. One person assembly.

I happened to catch the stand on sale, which of course sweetened the incentive significantly. The super saver shipping only took a few days to arrive. However, the stand was not in stock and it took some time to "re-order" from the manufacturer.

Overall, if you don't mind the potential wait - you will adore the time you spend reading/relaxing in the hammock you obtain to go with this stand.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT DESIGN, May 21, 2001
This review is from: Hatteras Hammocks L-STGTX-ARC Tri-beam Green Arc Hammock Stand (Lawn & Patio)
The stand was simple to put together, easy to move from one location to another, sturdy, and best of all, does not leave dead grass lines in your lawn as it sets on four small points...a real seller with this stand.

I got stand together with the large green/white stripes hammock as a package deal with free shipping. The stand and hammock arrived within a week on the same day in 2 different packages. The stand is easy to put together. It is very sturdy and easily hold 2 average size people. Moving is easy if you have 2 people. The actual stand is larger than I expected, it is around 15' long and pretty heavy. The roman arc shape is a nice touch. I check prices on specialty hammock store and they are almost twice as much as the price I paid before shipping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Match, April 8, 2002

This review is from: Hatteras Hammocks L-STGTX-ARC Tri-beam Green Arc Hammock Stand (Lawn & Patio)
Last year I bought this stand and the Hatteras Hammocks M-13WFSA Waterfront Collection Large Sage Green Stripe Hammock at Amazon. The color of both is complimentary as well as the size and hardware. I am very happy with both, and they match each other perfectly. They are made by the same manufacturer which is important. The stand is stable, you may have to adjust the bolts a litlle tighter after the first few uses, but after that its fine. The stand looks like garden scuplture when tha hammock is not on it, and that is exactly what some friends thought it was. It is much more attractive than the regular stand. It takes up less space (width) also. If you plan on moving the stand around alot, don't. While the paint is very durable and has not faded a bit in the last year (powdercoated)you will scratch it up by dragging it around and make the fittings loose. Get one with wheels for that. Oh, and this thing is HEAVY. Not some flimsy aluminum junk like the other guys make. It will not blow over in a wind storm.

I really like the look of the hammock stand. It seams to be very durable and because of its green color this hammock stand fits nicely in our landscaging area. It looks like a piece of art with or without the hammock.

This seems to be a very sturdy stand. My husband put it together in a snap. It is very easy for one person to move, which enables the yard to be easily mowed.

We just love our hammock stand! It doesn't take up as much space as we expected and goes perfectly with the green plaid hammock that we purchased about 8 years ago! I am, however, disappointed that the price has gone down ...since we purchased it. If I had known that it was going to be reduced in price, I would have waited to buy it until now. Overall, we are really enjoying our hammock now!
