I bought this hammock last year as the crowning touch of a massive landscaping project that included installing a firepit, a pond with waterfalls, winding flagstone pathways... But the hammock is the best part. I just can't get enough of it. My wife and my son can both fit comfortably with me on this. My boy is very hyper, and this hammock is the only time I have ever seen him relax, ever! This is so much beter than the rope type hammocks, which can cut into your back. This one is stable and cradles you. You do not need a pillow, but I bought one this year that is for sale here at Amazon also made by Hatteras. The hammock material is nice, stays very clean, and does not fade in the sun of my desert climate. I had it out all summer and fall in the direct sunlight, and mostly laid in it during evening. I did put it under the porch for winter though. DO NOT get a hammock without wood spacer bars if you plan on laying with another person. Those are for solo only, and the spacer bars keep you from smashing into each other. The spacer bars also keep it open to get in and out easier. If you think you might fall getting in or out, definately get one like this that has the wood bar. You can spread out just like on a bed once you are in this thing. I also bought the Arc Tri-Beam hammock stand from the same company Haterras at Amazon, which not only is perfect for holding up the hammock securely, but actually looks like sculpture in the yard when I take the hammock off. Much more attractive without taking as much space as a typical stand.

By the way, I bought the wrong hammock first, a rope one, and the great folks at Amazon let me ship it back to them and I ordered this one. Thanks Amazon!
