Beautiful heavy wood. Very well crafted and my husband was able to assemble it quite easily. Very roomy and comfortable, works great for both indoors and outdoors(treated with weather proofing). We loved the chair so much we ordered a second one. If you're looking for a large, heavy, well crafted rocking chair, you will be happy with this rocker.
