2.0 out of 5 stars A huge-o dissapointment
I lovvvvve the show charmed, so i began collecting and reading the books. The first five were really great. Buy those. I was really excited when this one came out. Isn't Leo Piper's fiance in the show now? This book was completely not seasonly accurate, and was not very compellingly wrtten.

5.0 out of 5 stars Phoebe attempts to solve a forty year old mystery., October 9, 2000
Phoebe thinks taking a class on hauntings and mysterious events in San Francisco will enable her to test her powers and earn some college credits in the process. Her enthusiasm is slightly dampened when she is forced to work on a project with Brett, an egotistical and arrogant guy whose ex-girlfriend, Wendy, thinks Phoebe is making the moves on him. In the meantime, Piper and Prue are fighting over Dylan Thomas, a cute guy who is performing at P3 with his band. Phoebe has never seen her sisters acting like this, and wonders if there's more to Dylan than meets the eye. But all she's concerned about is getting her sisters to cooperate so that they can help her uncover the truth behind the legendary "Halloween Murders" that occured in 1958 on the campus. Halloween is approaching, and words has it that the ghosts of the victims are haunting the campus. Phoebe thinks if she uncovers the truth behind the events that happened in 1958, the ghosts will be able to rest in peace. So she determines to find out the truth. The ending to the book was not really what I was expecting, but it was rather touching. I'd highly reccomend this book to Charmed fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars The real story, July 21, 2004
By
Ignore the publisher's book description. I don't think the person who wrote it actually read the book. Instead, it should read something like this : Determined to succeed in a college course about the supernatural, Phoebe volunteers to research the grisly murders of three college students killed on Halloween, 1958. The ghost of one of the students urges her to re-create the crime to uncover the truth. Phoebe agrees. Surely the Power of Three can reveal the real culprit... But Prue and Piper are preoccupied, competing for the love of the same man. Unfortunately, the object of their affection is a warlock who has used a spell to divide and conquer the sisters. With Prue and Piper at each other's throats, and Phoebe on her own, all three sisters are vulnerable...

5.0 out of 5 stars An Awesome Book, June 14, 2001

If you like Charmed, the show, you will love this book. I have read every charmed book besides the 2 new one's and this one was my favorite. Phoebe is doing a school project and she runs into ghosts that spirits haven't Rest In Peace yet. Phoebe has to figure out how to stop them before she and her partner are killed at the halloween party at college. The ghost that will kill them believe that they are his ex-girlfriend and friend. Really good book and I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Haunted By Desire, August 2, 2003
This is one of the best Charmed books there are. Phoebe Halliwell is going back to college to take a night class. One night, in class, when the professor tells the tale of a frightful Halloween dance, where 2 people where found dead, he gives extra credit to whoever can figure out how the 2 of them died. Phoebe wants to do the extra credit by decorating the gym and reliving the night of the day the 2 girls had died. Only one thing is standing in her way, Wendy, Brett's ex. Brett and Phoebe work on the project together while Wendy starts getting jealous. Then motes start popping up and not just any notes, threating notes. If you haven't read this one, you have too!! It's a must!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Exciting Book!, September 27, 2002

Phoebe signed up for a college course called, "Legends and Folklore: Uncovering Supernatural San Francisco." She and a classmate, Brett, start to uncover a mystery of murders that happened at their college in 1958. Meanwhile while selling antiques, Prue meets this man named Dylan Thomas. They talk and agree to go on a date. Dylan apparently has a band which will be playing at P3, Piper's club, and decides to get her on a date with him as well. Dylan is a warlock who's trying to destroy "The Power of Three" by turning them against each other. Only Phoebe has not met him, and is able to knock the truth into them with difficulty. After Dylan is vanquished, the girls set out to help Phoebe find the murderer, before it happens again. Note: The book says on page 3 that Phoebe has the power to astral project. That is wrong. Prue has that ability along with telekinesis.

4.0 out of 5 stars Charmed by The Novel, January 16, 2002
By
Another entertaining episode that has the Charmed Ones operate in an enchanting field. This time it's ghosts from the 50's that can't get their peace until the mystery is solved. Having read all 10 Charmed-books that have been published so far (or that I know of), I must say that this is not the top-thriller because I did find the characters of Brett and Marjorie and Wendy a bit flat. That doesn't mean the book is not good, it's just that the others were better because their characters were more lively.

This book was very good and kept my attention all the way through. It's storyline was easy to follow and kept true to each sister's character. I liked that it had some interesting twists to the storyline that you couldn't easily guess at in the beginning. I recommend reading this book to fans of the Charmed ones.
