4.0 out of 5 stars Do you dare to enter these Haunted Halls?, May 19, 2007
This review is from: Haunted Halls of Eveningstar (AD&D 2nd Ed Fantasy Roleplaying, Forgotten Realms Module, FRQ1) (Paperback)
The writer of this module, Ed Greenwood, states that he often uses this as a first adventure when running a new Forgotten Realms campaign - and with good reason. Any seasoned player of the Forgotten Realms will know who the Knights of Myth Drannor are. This was their first adventure too. I picked this up because I needed more information on the Haunted Halls themselves, and I didn't find it lacking what so ever. If done right, and at the perfect pace - this adventure can be made into a legend within your own gaming group. But I digress - the information I was looking for was all there in black and white, including a map of the dungeon itself - which any Dungeon Master knows, it extremely helpful when lack of time limits your adventure preparation. If I had to say anything negative about this adventure it would be that there are too many damned green slimes. But who says you have to leave those in there? No one. P.S. To future buyers of this module, it's is an AD&D module - which means it is under 2nd Edition rules. It's super easy to bring it up to current 3.5 rules should you choose to. Cheers!

4.0 out of 5 stars A mighty mission for quite good heros, March 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Haunted Halls of Eveningstar (AD&D 2nd Ed Fantasy Roleplaying, Forgotten Realms Module, FRQ1) (Paperback)
The hall is a good play in F&R world.Still that the mission is made for higher caracter or very good player(tink are lethal there)comparating to the level average on the adv book. For inexperienced player I sugest to party to be at least 4 of level 3 to 5.Exepting that al the other ting in the adventure are good and emprese me a lot.But look out dead trap are anywhere.
