Comment: This book has already been loved by someone else. It MIGHT have some wear and tear on the edges, have some markings in it, or be an ex-library book. Over-all it is still a good book at a great price! (if it is supposed to contain a CD or access code, that may be missing)

Those of us in the "field" know all to well that Mr. Imbrogno has embelleshed his credentials, and thanks to the REAL investigators in the field of the paranormal and UFOlogical research he has been called to task on this and other issues including his prior military experience...and POOF...Phil has disappeard from the scene. Rosemary Ellen Guiley co-wrote the Vengeful Djinn with Phil, and she has since distanced herself from him, along with the rest of the "field".

To continue to refer to Phillip Imbrogno as a "Paranormal Investigator" does a great disservice to the field of real research. Buyer beware, anything by this individual should be considered a work of fiction in total respect.

I don't know anything about the controversy surrounding Mr. Imbrogno's military career, nor can I say if any of the stories are true, but Haunted Files from the Edge: A Paranormal Investigator's Explorations into Infamous Legends & Extraordinary Manifestations is a well written, fun read - at times creepy and scary. I really enjoyed it.

4 of 5 people found the following review helpful By G. Poirier on September 5, 2012
Format: Paperback
After perusing the reviews already published about this book, I found the one by Robin Robinson to echo my feelings exactly.

The author recounts several stories that he considers worthy of a paranormal investigator's examination - him being the investigator in question. The stories are varied and include ghosts, monsters, curses, possible time travel, UFOs, etc. I found the book very clearly written in a very gripping and lively prose. In my view, whatever the author's background and irrespective of the accuracy/veracity of his stories, he has written a real hair-raising page turner that provided me with a lot of reading enjoyment, hence my rating. Anyone who loves the occasional spooky tale or ones recounting strange phenomena should thoroughly enjoy this book.

I know this author and have read four of his books. I find them interesting and fun to read. One must lift your mind out of the ordinary to accept some of his incidents and case studies, but if true, wow. There is more to our universe and our planet then we can even imagine.
