3.0 out of 5 stars Hidden In The Shadow's
Melinda Metz takes Haunted to a new level with its suspense thriller. It's about a girl that gets framed and is sent to the nuthouse and later is released to go back to a prep school. She has a gift to read minds with a touch of her fingertips. The book gives good detail and drama. It tells a story about a girl trying to become normal again. I liked the book because it...

Together Anthony and Rae search for clues as to where he was kidnapped. You find out that the evil person behind all this has a special power too. The whole book is full of Anthony, Rae, and Yana(Rae's friend) going on a wild goose chase searching for Jesse. It may be a wild goose chase but you learn a lot about each character more. This book was really good even though the first one was better. I would recommend this to anyone. I can't wait till Trust Me comes out in June.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second Book in the Fingerprints Series, March 19, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Haunted (Fingerprints, Book 2) (Paperback)
After nearly being killed in "Gifted Touch" (#1), Rae Voight now seems to have another unidentified enemy, one that abducts her 13-year-old friend, Jesse Beven. Everyone else believes he ran away--including his mother--, but Rae and her friend, Anthony Fascinelli, seriously doubt hes run away, especially not after the psychic clues Rae picks up while reading other peoples fingerprints. These clues take Rae, Anthony, and Yana Savari (another one of Raes pals) on an overnight trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, where they hope to find Jesses abusive, estranged father, the man they believe may have stolen Jesse. However, when their lead doesnt produce Jesse, the threesome is forced to start over, this time interviewing new witnesses with conflicting memories of what happened to Jesse that day. Among the five stories that are given, which one can Rae rely on? Because this time its not just her own life at stake--Jesse might die if she doesnt find him in time.

"Haunted" is the first book Ive read so far in this series. I was quite impressed with this book and hope the others are just as good. Fingerprints is definitely a not-to-be-missed series if you like paranormal teen thrillers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second Book Won't Let Down, August 1, 2001

OK, so now that you've read Fingerprints #1-Gifted Touch, go to the bookstore, buy book #2, read it. It's just as good as the first. Rae Voight is just getting used to her powers. Now how do you make a series about a girls who can read fingerprints more suspenseful than that? Add two people that are trying to kill her. Only Rae thinks that there is only one. And the one who kidnaps Rae's friends Jesse is not the same one that sets up a pipe bomb in the girl's bathroom as the reader will learn, but Rae doesn't. Rae has to find Jesse before it's too late, but Rae may be in more danger than she knows. This book gets an A+, and by the way, I didn't even read any mysteries before I read this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars The thrilling second book in the Fingerprints series., June 3, 2001
This review is from: Haunted (Fingerprints, Book 2) (Paperback)
Rae Voight is still trying to deal with the weirdness of being able to read other people's thoughts by touching their fingerprints - and trying to deal with the very real fact that someone has tried to kill her and may do so again. When Jesse, a kid from her therapy group, disappears, Rae is worried - and so is Anthony, who knows Jesse would never run away. So Rae and Anthony team up to try and find Jesse, with the help of Rae's friend Yana and Rae's amazing - and unwanted - ability. But someone is lurking in the shadows - determined to push Rae to the breaking point, someone who has snatched Jesse to get at her, someone with a twisted scheme of revenge - all because of the horrifying events sixteen years ago that tore Rae's mother away from her forever. This was a thrilling continuation of the Fingerprints series, although I thought book #1 was a bit better.

This was a great fast read. I enjoyed this edge of the seat thriller a lot. Rae is finally getting the swing of things, with Anthoneys help. If you liked the first book, you will love this one. And the third one is even better...

4.0 out of 5 stars Where's Jesse?, June 24, 2006
This review is from: Haunted (Fingerprints, Book 2) (Paperback)
Although the series is for readers aged 9 to 12, it's an interesting enough concept to keep older readers entertained.

The second book in Metz's series explores how Rae's gift can be used to her advantage (to aid others) and some methods in which she can control when to use her gift. Rae puts her gift to the test when she must use it to find Jesse (a boy from group therapy who "ran away"). Jesse's disappearance coincides with Rae being stalked. In this book, the reader gets to know Anthony, Rae, Yana, and Marcus a little better. For those of you who read the first book, a romantic relationship between Rae and Anthony doesn't develop until later in the series, much to my dismay ^_~ After finishing this book, be prepared to read the next and the next! It's addicting!

If you haven't read the first book, I would definetly suggest doing so if you want to understand this book a little better.

Happy Reading!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Book!!!!!!!, July 31, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Haunted (Fingerprints, Book 2) (Paperback)
You will not believe how good this book is. Once you start to read it, you might stay up all night until you are done. I don't want to give away too much about the book, so I'll just say this: The author really has a way with words that make you fell like you experience what the character experiences. It is amazing. I'm surprised these wonderful books aren't more well known, and I am sure you won't regret making your purchase. If you are the type of person that likes a book that keeps you waiting for the next big event in the plot to unfold and gradually reveals (the book, not you) the answers to the questions you have had and continues to do so as the series goes on, I completely reccomend that you check this book out.

Rae is starting to get used to her power to read fingerprints. She is still worried about the person out to kill her but is trying to live a normal life. Things go great until Jesse is kidnapped. Rae and Anthony are told he ran away, but they don't believe it. They think his dad might have done it, so they go on a road trip to try and find out. One question keeps running through Rae's head. Are we going to find him in time?

5.0 out of 5 stars Continuing as it began ..., September 5, 2001

Metz has continued her strong beginning with this second book in the Fingerprints series. Rae is starting to really develope the nack for using her ability. She still hides it from most of her friends and her father - but she is making real leaps ahead with her ability to sift through the thoughts of others. This book follows events as the person who is watching Rae conducts an experiment to try and figure out exactly what Rae's ability is. I have to admit that this secret enemy idea is great, but if it continues through too many of the other books then it could get really anoying. If you like this series you could try reading the Extreme Zone books by M.C. Sumner.

5.0 out of 5 stars A hidden enemy..., April 13, 2001
This review is from: Haunted (Fingerprints, Book 2) (Paperback)
Rae Voigt is still trying to be normal after all the recent events that has been happening to her. It was Anthony who had helped her discover her ability, her ability to read fingerprints and feel the thoughts of the person who left them behind. And she knew that ever since she discovered her extraordinary ability, someone is after her -- someone that she feels wants her dead. But now her friend Jesse has disappeared. She doesn't know where to find him, or if he'll ever turn up. The

answers she discovers will lead her to a much darker, twisted scheme -- but the enemy who hunts her down just won't give up until Rae is done with. Fingerprints #2: Haunted, although very suspenseful, was not as good as the first book in this amazing new series, but I enjoyed it very much. The Fingerprints series continues with this page turning read by Melinda Metz.
