Haunted, May 14, 2001
By A Customer
In Haunted Jesse gets kidnapped except everyone thinks that he's run away. But Anthony knows better than that because Jesse would never leave without telling him. Together Anthony and Rae search for clues as to where he was kidnapped. You find out that the evil person behind all this has a special power too. The whole book is full of Anthony, Rae, and Yana(Rae's friend) going on a wild goose chase searching for Jesse. It may be a wild goose chase but you learn a lot about each character more. This book was really good even though the first one was better. I would recommend this to anyone. I can't wait till Trust Me comes out in June.

Second Book in the Fingerprints Series, March 19, 2002
By A Customer
After nearly being killed in "Gifted Touch" (#1), Rae Voight now seems to have another unidentified enemy, one that abducts her 13-year-old friend, Jesse Beven. Everyone else believes he ran away--including his mother--, but Rae and her friend, Anthony Fascinelli, seriously doubt hes run away, especially not after the psychic clues Rae picks up while reading other peoples fingerprints. These clues take Rae, Anthony, and Yana Savari (another one of Raes pals) on an overnight trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, where they hope to find Jesses abusive, estranged father, the man they believe may have stolen Jesse. However, when their lead doesnt produce Jesse, the threesome is forced to start over, this time interviewing new witnesses with conflicting memories of what happened to Jesse that day. Among the five stories that are given, which one can Rae rely on? Because this time its not just her own life at stake--Jesse might die if she doesnt find him in time.
"Haunted" is the first book Ive read so far in this series. I was quite impressed with this book and hope the others are just as good. Fingerprints is definitely a not-to-be-missed series if you like paranormal teen thrillers.

Second Book Won't Let Down, August 1, 2001
OK, so now that you've read Fingerprints #1-Gifted Touch, go to the bookstore, buy book #2, read it. It's just as good as the first. Rae Voight is just getting used to her powers. Now how do you make a series about a girls who can read fingerprints more suspenseful than that? Add two people that are trying to kill her. Only Rae thinks that there is only one. And the one who kidnaps Rae's friends Jesse is not the same one that sets up a pipe bomb in the girl's bathroom as the reader will learn, but Rae doesn't. Rae has to find Jesse before it's too late, but Rae may be in more danger than she knows. This book gets an A+, and by the way, I didn't even read any mysteries before I read this series.
