Book Description

Georgia has the reputation of being one of the most haunted places in America. Because of its age, its history, and its sometimes tragic experiences, there are plenty of tales, ghost stories and haunted locations that take creepiness to a whole new level.

Georgia was established in 1732 and is one of the oldest states in the U.S. As one of the original 13 colonies it is charming and beautiful, and is wreathed in history and culture. The city of Savannah, along the Georgia coast, not only holds the distinction of being the oldest city in Georgia, but is one of the oldest cities in the United States.

As any ghost hunter or researcher of paranormal activity will tell you, the older the location the more active the ghosts.

Georgia is also home to many Revolutionary War and Civil War battles as well as Pirate and Indian skirmishes, some of which are at the heart of the true ghost stories and hauntings within this book.

Join ghost hunter Sarah Ashley, as she shares with you some of the most popular locations in Georgia for haunted houses and ghosts. She will expose you to Georgia's hot spots of paranormal mystery and activity such as the Pirate’s House in Savannah, Spook Bridge (yes that’s right) in Lowndes County and many more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting read but February 13, 2013
By Sarah
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed the info in the book, but I would love to see the author go back and tighten things up. As with many self-published books, I found the lack of polishing to be a distraction. In several places the author restates things almost word for word just a few sentences later, which made me a little bit crazy. Sentences like,"Visitors are cautioned to be cautious," had me cringing. However, with some editing, this could be a fun book.

I really wish I read this book before of my trip to Georgia last year. I never knew there was such a rich history of paranormal phenomena in that state. This book was very entertaining and informative, providing deep and thorough overview of the history and phenomena of the numerous haunted sites in Georgia. This book serves as a interesting tourist guide as well and definitely has got me interested in visiting the state again. Great book, highly recommended if you're interested in paranormal phenomena!

I give the book a 5 star rating. I am from Georgia and still live there today, many of the places that were spoke of inside the book I have been too and witnessed many things that I could not explain, such as the Andersonville Prison and Grave Site or Cemetery i have been there and felt the loneliness at one point even forsaken. The author is very precise as he talks of places here in Georgia .that have had sightings of Ghosts.. The author was very informative about the life and times of people past as well as present. If anyone reads this review, then please do yourself a favor and read the book.........

This is a factual read about different areas of Georgia but I would have liked to read about the Chief Van house in Chatsworth, Georgia.

Nice short over view. Nothing too frightening. Some interesting background. Needs to work on their editing though, lots of improper spellings and punctuation.

More About the Author

I am an author of books on paranormal activity. I have been fascinated with haunted locations for some time after experiencing some terrifying encounters with ghosts. Those experiences left a lasting impression on me and for many years I have been researching reportedly haunted locations and have found a few unknowns on my ghost hunts along the way.

I decided to share my experiences with others who may be as fascinated, or perhaps just curious, with those who are trapped between life and death. I wanted to reveal unique landmarks that amateur ghost hunters and curious skeptics may want to visit - if they dare.
