Book Description

September 2000
This is the author's third book in a series of true ghost stories from the Hudson Valley of New York. Author Linda Zimmermann has traveled extensively in the area collecting and researching stories of hauntings in private homes, cemeteries, restaurants, businesses and historic sites. More Haunted Hudson Valley contains a dozen new stories, from the man who wakes up to find a corpse in his bed, to an evil presence that drives a family from their home, to a stately mansion where the ghost of a president can be seen. Linda Zimermann's investigations involve a combination of interviews with eyewitnesses, historical research and scientific instruments, and her findings are woven into stories that captivate readers of all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars More great ghost stories!, March 1, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: More Haunted Hudson Valley (Paperback)
I have all four of Zimmermann's ghost books and I think they just keep getting better. The way she writes makes you feel that you are actually there. And since she always includes some stories about hauntings in public places you can visit them yourself (which I have!). Usually you don't think about ghosts roaming around in the daylight, but the Oak Hill Cemetery story proves that ghosts can be anywhere at anytime. And you have to read the "Brotherly Love" story...it still gives me goosebumps when I think about it. If you live in the Hudson Valley area and you like true ghost stories, these books are a must have!

4.0 out of 5 stars Ms. Zimmermann has done it again!, January 11, 2001

This review is from: More Haunted Hudson Valley (Paperback)
I am quickly becoming a fan of Ms. Zimmermann's writing and thoroughly enjoy the real life stories. Although I must admit I found some stories difficult to believe, she has left that decision up to the reader with her investigator style. I would recommend this book to anyone curious about the spirit world or just things that go bump in the night you won't be disappointed!

1.0 out of 5 stars Unidentified Hauntings, February 24, 2002

This review is from: More Haunted Hudson Valley (Paperback)
I did not care for this book. First, the author consistently fails to identify the locations of the alleged haunted sites (no addresses, etc.) and, IN MY OPINION, this is a good indication the stories are fictional. Second, the author's style--or lack thereof--leaves a lot to be desired. In other words, this book is unbearably dull!
