Although the word "Disney" appears infront of this title, don't let that effect your decission to purchase this game. Haunted Mansion was one of the best games i've played in three years. Im usually a Socom, Tiger Woods, kind of player, so i went out on a limb for this purchase. I couldn't be happier! The graphics are great, the game play is fast and keeps getting better as the game progresses. The puzzels aren't too difficult but will keep you guessing the first time you attempt them. The ghouls will make you jump right out of your socks if you get too relaxed while playing so keep your guards up! It's so addicting its frighting, i can't seem to put it down!! This is a great buy for all ages...5 stars!

I was quite surprised with how fun the game was - it's not too scary that the kids cannot play, but it's scary enough that I get chills down my spine when those darn spiders come jumping out! Lots of exploring around the mansion to gather the lost souls with the help of the Madame in the globe, and meet other friendly ghosts....Animation is not bad, voice and sound is pretty darn good, the only objection - the locked controls - sometimes very frustrating! But overall, this is a great game! Hope the movie will be as good as the game! :)

I like this game. The whole collecting ghosts thing is reminescient of Luigi's Mansion. It's like that crossed with Eternal Darkness, except the graphics are right about in the middle of the two, not too cartoony and not too normal. There is a bunch of puzzles to solve to obtain all the spirits - 999 in total. Pretty cool, fun and moderately long and challenging.

This game is a must for fans of the ride. It is fortunately not based on the movie, but rather the ride itself.

The game captures much of the whimsical "spirit" of the ride with just enough moments of eeriness to keep things interesting. This is primarily a puzzle game with each new room presenting a different problem in order to complete it.

There isn't much in the way of the ride's music except during the credits, but there are plenty of nods to the Disneyland version of the ride.

There are also a few annoying levels that once finished, you are glad you don't have to go through them again. However, the lure of the next room and the next puzzle overrides this.

This game may prove a bit short for highly skilled older gamers, but a pleasant diversion nonetheless.

I have to say that I am a huge fan of Resident Evil, but I have a young son who I play games with. Resident Evil is a little too much for him to say the least, so I saw this game and thought it would be a happy compromise. Like another reviewer states, don't let the Disney name fool you...it's not like Donald Duck is in a vampire costume and comes jumping out at you here. You get some pretty creepy ghosts and a decent level of puzzling games here. The graphics are great, the gameplay is smooth and fun, and unlike other "kiddie" games, this one will take longer than a weekend to beat. I have seen some comparisons here to Luigi's Mansion. I think Haunted Mansion is so much more engrossing on many levels. While I found Luigi's Mansion controls a bit complicated Haunted Mansion's actions were very easy, my 6-year old had them down in no time. There are some truly creepy moments in Haunted Mansion, the Giant Spiders were great, and you have to allow yourself to be webbed and pulled toward their venom dripping fangs in one room in order to win the room! And getting chased through a dark hidden passageway with a Harry Potter-like Dementor on your heels, all while your crystal ball is shouting directions to you made for some great gameplay! Now that this game is below $20, if you have even the slightest interest in playing a horror survival game, check out Haunted Mansion. This is, so far, the best game I have found for Game Cube!

I bought this game like many others that I own on clearence. I found it at my local Kmart for [...](might be at yours too!). I was very happy to find that this was the perfect game for me. This game kind of walks you through the whole thing so you dont have to figure out everything yourself or read through yet another lengthy instruction manual to the game. I picked it up and put it in and was on my way. The insructions are explained as you play which I think is a major plus. If you get stumped in some of the rooms you can hit a button to receive a hint about what to do. The graphics were done pretty well. I found myself playing this game nonstop until I finished it. This game is not very challenging initially but you can play it on harder modes. I like the fact that I can play it though just to kill some time and still enjoy myself. I think that this is one of those games that young kids and adults alike can find themselves enjoying. Happy gaming :)

this is a very, very cool game. its really scary too...wouldn't recommend it for young children. for people that like a good haunt and lots of action, this is the game for them. (great graphics + sound!)

I first saw (and played) this game at Disneyland before it was released. It takes a while to get the hang of, but once you do this is an awsome game. It does get startling at times, so young kids might get freaked out. Other than that, it's a great game.

This was one of two games that I first bought for my daughters. The rooms and layout of the house is much like the movie. The characters (both family and ghosts) of the movie are not in it. The game has it's very own character. You will also recognize things from the Disneyland ride. This is a puzzle game and you have to be very precise with the controller. Therefore, it was very frustrating as a first time game. I don't like puzzle games and having to be so precise was aggrivating, but I was determined to finish the game. Ironically, the ending was the easiest part of the whole game. My kids were frustrated with it too and didn't have much fun with it. I don't think they ever completed the whole game. They were content with just watching me play it. Once you are done with the game, that's it. There is no fun in any replay. This game is not for the very young. It could cause nightmares. The ghosts are scary and the music is chilling. No matter how many times I played it, I still got the chills and I am in my upper thirties. If you like puzzle type games, this one is for you.

Ordered this game for my wife I really like it not much of a gamer but,I enjoy anything to do with haunted houses,paranormal activity.great deal for sure and in excellent condition.
