A nice little book,

This review is from: The Haunted Mansion Mystery (Barbie Mysteries, No. 1) (Paperback)
In this cute little book, Barbie is a reporter for her local newspaper, the Willow Gazette (that's what my book says, though an editorial review says Willow Daily News). She is assigned to write an article on the Willow family, which founded the town 100 years ago this year. When she finds out that the Willow Mansion has suddenly become haunted, scaring away the servants and frightening Mr. Willow, Barbie investigates. There's a hundred year old mystery to be solved, and Barbie is just the girl to do it!This is a nice little book, just right for young readers (say, 7-10), with a fun story. I wish that the book had some more Barbie pictures (besides just the cover), but as the price is so small, one can't expect too much. But, this is a nice book, and a nice way to introduce young readers to the mystery genre. |
