I loved this book. History enters into the equation just enough to give you an idea of the environment. The fact that this author focuses on current experiences and backs up his stories with his own "investigations" and interviews with as many people involved as possible makes it thoroughly credible and entertaining. I might also add that the author writes very well and has a great sense of humor and is sensitive to the plight of those involved, which are all excellent additions to plenty of very chilling stories. Hunter engages your sympathies with all of these qualities which makes the stories that much more enjoyable...and frightening.

I enjoy history and legend, but if you can get it from the mouths of those directly affected and frightened, all the better. I wish more ghost books were like this.
