I saw this on British TV when it was first made, and I promptly recorded it on video. The years passed, and it was a tradition for my family to watch it every Christmas. However I have been waiting for years for this to come out on DVD, and as yet there is no British DVD.I decided though to get this copy which I believe to be Region 1, which was released in November 2007, thinking at least I could play it on my PC. To my great satisfaction, it plays on my DVD player. This is not a scary DVD, but a really warm story of compassion between a ghost and a young boy. Also the love between a boy and his estranged parents. I will not spoil the story for anyone who hasn't watched it, but it has all the charm of England. Buy this and watch it, it isn't a Christmas DVD as such, but has a charm of England and a Christmas flavour, by the carols that form part of it. |
