You’ve got the screen--use it! WinTV-Radio is a single slot PCI card which has a 125-channel cable-ready TV tuner, video digitizer and FM radio receiver. Our WinTV2000 application displays live TV and video in a resizable window (or full screen!) on your PC monitor.
WinTV offers features usually only seen on high-end television sets, like high quality dbx-TV stereo audio and our 16 channel preview. And it goes further! With WinTV-SnapShot, snap and print video images from whatever you're watching in high resolution up to 1600x1200 pixels! Or record video movies from your camcorder or off the air. WinTV-Capture can record video movies in Microsoft's AVI file format for use in web pages or to create your own high-impact multimedia presentations. Our SoftPVR creates MPEG movies, too!
Make digital video recordings with Hauppauge’s SoftPVR. SoftPVR uses your PC’s processor to digitally record your videos to disk in MPEG or DIvX formats. Digitally record from TV or from external video, schedule your TV recordings with our WinTV-Scheduler, and then burn the recordings to CD-ROM. SoftPVR recordings are compatible with Hauppauge's MediaMVP, so you can watch your SoftPVR recordings on your TV set! Note: SoftPVR requires a 733MHz Pentium PC or faster for MPEG recording, and a 1.8 Gigahertz Pentium PC or faster for DivX recording.

Pretty good, just a few bugs,

I have a 2.4 Ghz Computer with 512 MB Ram running Win XP pro. Installing the device was really easy and took probably no more than 10 minutes. The Radio works and TV is pretty good, but the only problem is trying to close down the program WinTV2000 or WinTV32 after watching TV for an extended period of time. Has a tendency of not wanting to close itself down and then crashes Windows when I keep trying to get it to close. Going to keep it though since it's way better than the USB TV Tuner from pinnacle. Maybe Hauppauge will release a patch for this problem later on. Besides the software glitch, it's really not that bad.

Hapless WinTV-Radio (Model 401),

I got this as a Valentines Dat gift for my almost XYL. She said the needed drivers weren't on the CD & the so-called instructions were basically one sheet of paper.(her system: Windows XP Pro, Shuttle MN31N m/b, Athlon XP 2500, 512meg dual channel PC2700 RAM) So far she hasn't been able to get it to work. She called Hauppauge & they said it sounded like a hardware problem, but to try it on another computer. Right- she'll rush right out & buy a second computer.When she gets around to bringing the computer over, I'll try to get it working. I bought this card thinking Hauppauge was an old-line company with quality products. I'll reserve judgement until I can check it out myself, but as of now I'm still looking for a top-notch TV/FM card.

I have purchased ATI TV cards for a long time, but I am glad I purchased the Hauppauge. I was having problems with the ATI cards freezing and havin audio synch problems. This card is awesome and I have had zero problems. Buy with confidence!!!!
