I read a lot of reviews about just being able to plug and play and very few that had any sort of major complications. Unfortunately i couldn't just plug and play the console would recognize the additional storage but you couldn't save anything to it. However this turned out to be a really simple fix by formatting the hard drive in system settings menu. I'm now a very satisfied customer!!

easy to install and works great so far. I just wanted a cheap hard drive to save some game information on. The ones that microsoft sell seem to be a little pricy for a hard drive. This one is a great price and is working great. I would recommend as a cheaper alternative to the Microsoft branded one. The only draw back from my understanding is you cannot download certain games to the drive.

Drive works perfectly without any extra steps. It fit really well into the xBox 4GB slim that we have. It was recognized and we were able to transfer all of our content right away. Didn't have to format it or do any special steps. I've read where some generic HDD cases had a bit too tight of a fit, but this one was fine. It's been working well so far. I don't believe we've run into any issues with drive speed or latency. I was also offered a SquareTrade plan for this during the Amazon checkout and it was only a couple of bucks extra. Made me feel a bit better purchasing a generic drive from a seller that might not be around in the next year or two if it ever does break.

I installed this product into my 360 slim, and it worked great. At first. After using it for a couple days, and moving my profile and saved games onto the new drive, I turned on the Xbox to find that my profile was no longer there, and the hard drive said "Unformatted" in the storage menu. I went ahead and reformatted the drive, losing my saved games (didn't have that many, so not much of an issue). Then everything worked again, for about a day. Then I started to experience random freezes in games, apps, and the menu. After this happened a few times, the hard drive read as unformatted again, and would not be recognized even after formatting. At that point I processed a refund on Amazon. I would have gone for a replacement to give the produce another chance, but Amazon wouldn't as it is only "fulfilled by Amazon" and I could not find any support contact information for this seller. This is a potentially good product, if you don't get a defective one, but I would not move important saved games to it until you are certain you didn't get a lemon. You do get what you pay for.

Great hard drive for the Xbox 360. The only problem is that sometimes if I tilt the Xbox 360, the hard drive falls out of place. This hard drive does not stay secured in the Xbox 360 if you move the 360. The hard drive is simply smaller than the hard drive bay. However, this issue does not keep me from giving the hard drive 5-stars.

EDIT: I have had this hard drive for over a year and I have not had any problems with it.

It completely stopped working in less than a month from my purchase. I had to concede and buy a Microsoft brand one, it is still working.

Worked perfectly right out of the box. It was completely plug-and-play, there was no formatting involved. Considering it was half the price of the official MicroSoft product, it was a pretty good deal. I would recommend this product for anyone in the market for an upgraded harddrive for their Xbox 360.

So far so good. Cheap and very affordable. Also VERY fast delivery. It said two weeks or so and was here in less than 5 days. Anyone looking for a HDD for a 360 should get this one.

It does everything I need it to do. It's great and gives me plenty of storage the only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because I don't like that something in it wiggles. My boyfriend has the xbox 360 brand hard disk drive and his doesn't do that. I just hope it's not a sign that it will be faulty in the future.
But so far so good!
If you're looking for a cheap way to get more storage for your xbox 360 it's definitely worth it.

I downloaded Trials Fusion on to the hard drive and it froze my xbox and gave it the Red Ring of Death. I later found out that the download had corrupted the hard drive and not my xbox. now my hard drive is just sitting on my book shelf collecting dust.
