Having read the wonderful, "Bichon Havanese"
by Zoila Portuondo Guerra, I was very disappointed with this book, since it completely ignored health issues that should be watched in the breed. The book seems quite generic in nature and could apply to almost any breed.

This is a great handbook for havanese. The breed being so rare, it is hard to find good experience on paper. I plan on giving each of my new puppy owners a book. Thank you for supplying this book. Sincerely, Laura Helmon

Although this was the only book on Havanese that I could find, it was not what I wanted. It was a general puppy care book with Havanese pictures. Important issues related to the health and care of Havanese were not mentioned or addressed. Don't waste your money unless you are just paying for the pictures. Buy a more inclusive puppy care book if this is what you're looking for.
