These guys are GODS!!!! They take a crappy song and make it great. They take a great song and make it greater. Wouldn't surprise me if they could walk on water...

Despite the fact that it hasn't been until recently that I have ever heard of this group, which is a travesty on my part. Being introduced to this group by a 14 year old, It brought back memories to my liking of punk rock back in the mid to late 70's.
As clever as any, most of these tracks' intro's are faithful to the original, but then the hammer hits. What a joy to hear new versions of old classics, like Joel's 'Only The Good Die Young', John's 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me', and Denver's 'Country Roads'. To some, you may have to have a liking to fast-paced punk. To others, you may need to have an appreciation of the oldies represented.
All in fun, this is a fast and furious listen. A superb effort to be sure.

This is exactly what they said it was - tracks that were previously unused. Many uninspired moments, but an uninspired Me First moment still has some redeeming value. If you're a completionist, get it. Otherwise, nah...

I was using a music website call pandora.com and had chosen Green Day as my channel, you choose music artists or a song and get a channel of music related to that choice you made. One of the artists that came up was Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. I was impressed. I love the oldies, and I love punk and this band put them together to make a rocking set of tunes that made we want to buy the CD. In fact, I bought three of their CD's from Amazon. Awesome tunes, great fun for parties or just listenting by yourself on the headphones. I recommend this to all that enjoy alternative/punk.

They are killer in concert, and their cd's give everyone, any age, an up-beat song to sing to. I haven't had anyone not know the words, and who didn't enjoy the punk / ska remakes! They Rock!!!!

If you are in the mood for something not quite completely different, then MFATGG is the group for you. Just listen "Country Roads" and you will know if you are going to love them or hate them. I'm just givin' the love.

After the mediocre "Ruin Jonny's Bar Mitzvah" and the slightly better "Love Their Country", I was starting to think that the Gimme Gimme's had lost their touch. I am happy to say that I was wrong because " Have Another Ball!" is a great CD. The only tracks that aren't good are the terrible "Sodomy" and the so-so "The Harder They Come". I only hope their next release is this good.

I know this is a release of cuts from the original recording of Have a Ball. I am glad they put it out. I loved it and I hope they are working on a new album.
