5.0 out of 5 stars Irresistable boogie and rockin' blues harmonica!, May 23, 2001

This review is from: Have Another Round (Audio CD)
One of the most amazing albums I have ever heard! Gritty, raw and full of original material by Dufresne. Saw him at the 2000 Winthrop Blues Festival and he played will zeal and passion seldom seen! Very nice man too, takes time for his fans and also a smooth dresser! Wore all black in the hot weather with a shaved head and goatee! Play him a lot at 1490 KOTY AM in The Yakima Nation Radio Station.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mark Dufresne Does It Again!!!, February 11, 2002
By
This review is from: Have Another Round (Audio CD)
Mark Dufresne, who thrilled us with two earlier CD's of excellent Blues music, has done it again. This album features a fine sampling of Mark's outstanding vocals and harmonica playing as well as one heck of a tight back-up band.

Defresne has been a staple in the Kansas City Blues scene since the 1970's and he began releasing CD's in the late 1990's, each of which is a small gem. Mark's singing is as good as any other Blues singer out there. The harmonica playing is as great as before, combining standard Chicago-style electrified harmonica with Stevie Wonder-styled chromatic licks. It's certainly a breath of fresh air to hear him play. His band is superb, tight as a drum and would be worth listening to for their own merits.

As with his other albums, I'd generally recommend this one.
