Asthma is often minimized because so many children and adults suffer from it, however it is a serious disease accounting for 5 thousand deaths annually (Per a pamplet in our doctors office). I bought this for my daughter who does not have asthma so that she will have a better understanding of what her infant brother is going through. She has enjoyed the book and has asked lots of great questions after it is read to her. It helped us open up a dialogue with her to take down the mysteries. Now she has a better understanding why I stop what I am doing when her brother starts coughing and/or wheezing. It helps.

Good buy. Good illustrations. Helps both kids and parents conquer fears about asthma. Diagrams explain what happens during a flare. I definitely recommend this book.

Great basic introduction for someone with asthma. Some things are a bit unrealistic and do not apply to ALL asthmatics.
