I initially read The Radiant and The Salt House by Ms. Huntington and they were excellent as well as being books that I will read again and again. I would strongly suggest reading these later two books as they show the enormous development of Ms. Huntington's rich, fluid, absolutely beautiful verbal skills. Having said that, I read what I believe is her first book, We Have Gone to the Beach last so in comparison, it was a bit disappointing.Her writing has become brilliant. YOu feel like you are in her skin experiencing what she experiences. |
