Her voice agile and powerful, Miss Brown holds a late 1980s hotel club audience in fear of their lives through three of her Atlantic classics and several standards. Although this session by jazz and blues legend Ruth Brown was recorded in the late 80's, Brown was still in prime form singing jazz standards and jump blues novelties. Some highlights include 5-10-15, Gee Baby Ain't I Good To You, and Teardrops From My Eyes. This is great party music, and it falls in the category of jump blues, if you like Jeannie and jimmy Cheatham, Louis Jordan and Wynonnie Harris you will also enjoy this exellent Ruth Brown re-issue. Fun & recommended music!
