She has served as artist in residence at Isle Royale National Park, and she teaches and speaks on writing, nature, and faith. Her writing has appeared in such publications as Books & Culture, Backpacker, A Prairie Journal, and Publishers Weekly. She and her husband, Jeff, live in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
