Belushi and Aykroyd, NEED I SAY MORE?, May 26, 2003
This review is from: Have Love Will Travel (Audio CD)
Being a huge fan of SNL and The Blues Brothers for almost 30years I picked up this album just to show support for my boys. WOW was I blown away. Unlike Aykroyd's previouse albums that are mostly covers this is almost all originals! 14 tracks of Good Old Louisianna Blues fused with Contemporary Rock. My Personal favorites on the Album are the title track "have Love Will Travel"(wich was performed on Acording to Jim)"Cadilac Man" (also performed on Acording to Jim) and "Time Won't Let Me" (performed on SNL featuring a duet by Jim and Danny) if your expecting to hear the blues brothers this isn't the album for you. But if you just want a taste of somethnig different, a new kind of Blues Then I definatly recomend this Album! These guys obviosly put there hearts in to it. Jim and Danny both take turns singing lead and Blowing the harmonicas and they even team up for a few duets on the album, and the band is made up mostly of Jim's other band "The Sacred hearts" If you can find there cd I recomend that also!!

somewhat original, December 23, 2004
This review is from: Have Love Will Travel (Audio CD)
I've always got a kick out of the blues brothers and I would recommend this cd to both snl fans and lovers of classic r&b/blues & rock......Having read some of the other reviews, I would like to point out a fallacy. This is NOT mostly original. There are some original tunes but over half are cover versions. In fact, nine of the thirteen songs are covers. I listed them below with the original recording artists-
Have Love, Will Travel-Richard Berry (of Louie Loiue fame)
Dig Myself A Hole-Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup
Time Won't Let Me-The Outsiders
Polk Salad Annie-Tony Joe White
300 Pounds Of Joy-Howlin Wolf
All She Wants To Do Is Rock-Wynonie Harris
Greenbacks-Ray Charles
Swinging Party-Lowell Fulsom
Driving Wheel-Roosevelt Sykes
Aykroyd & Belushi never tried to take credit for songs performed as the Blues Brothers and I don't think they would do so now.

Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd are wonderful performers, March 7, 2004
This review is from: Have Love Will Travel (Audio CD)
I have gone to two of their CD signings and I got to met Dan Aykroyd. Jim, I met at a According To Jim taping. Songs from this CD was played on ATJ. The first season was "Cadillac Man", next season was "Have Love Will Travel" and "Can't Get Out Of It," and final this season they did "300 Pounds of Joy" and "Time Won't Let Me." Since I have it I been playing it over and over. I am a big fan of both of them, and also I love the Blues Brothers. They also do a wonderful Blues Brothers show. Any fan should add this to their collection, I have and its great music. I have Jim's other CD called 36-22-36 and it's also a great one. Both CD's I recommend. Great Blues music.
