"Spin the Bottle" With a New Twist! When teacher Julie Stanton moves in with Richard Webb, the last thing she expects is that their romantic evening together will end with her walking out, still clutching the bottle of wine she had hoped they would drink to toast their new relationship. But then Julie and the bottle of wine part company, setting the stage for a series of glimpses into the lives and loves of 12 other couples in every stage of romance. Beginnings and endings, passion and antipathy, sometimes sexy but always memorable, each story ends with the passing of the bottle. By journey's end, you will get a voyeur's view into the love lives of 13 compelling heroines who never quite manage to pop the cork. "A fun, light novel that gleefully provides some rather shrewd social commentary about divorce, having children out of wedlock, and why the 'career woman' is still rather a sore point." - Sophia Furber, The London Student
Jacquelynn Luben has been writing for more than thirty years, and has published four books. She is working on her third novel.
Her most recent novel,'Tainted Tree', is the story of American adoptee, Addie, who is left a house in Guildford, Surrey, and visits England in a search for her roots and her identity. She also spends time in the West Country, where some of her family lived. 'Tainted Tree', a prize-winning novel, taps into the current interest in genealogy. An extract of the book can be found at www.goldenford.co.uk. 'Tainted Tree' is available as a paperback in the UK and also in Kindle format.
'A Bottle of Plonk' is a novella in which a bottle of wine is taken from one story to another. It has been compared to a modern version of 'La Ronde'. It was also published in America, under the name, 'Have Wine Will Travel' and is now also available via Kindle.
Jacquelynn started writing after the death of a baby daughter through cot death, and her first published book was a self help book, commissioned by Thorsons and based on this experience. 'The Fruit of the Tree' was an autobiography which tells of that sad time in a more subjective way. Both books are available from Amazon.
In addition to her published books, Jacquelynn Luben has written many articles and short stories. Four of her short stories are available as Kindle books - 'A Boy's Best Friend', 'An Affair of the Mind', The Obsession and 'Maggies Plot', the latter three published by Untreed Reads (www.untreedreads.com). More short stories will soon be available on line.
