5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice, good, stuff!
I bought this CD on a whim, since Amazon recommended it to me.

I didn't know what to expect from it. I listened to a few tracks online, but I don't like listening to things from the middle, but what I heard, I enjoyed.

So, I bought the CD. I saw that it had 2 CDs, and the second one was mostly remixes, which I didn't mind. I love remixes...

This is not even in the same categorie as Iris depeche mode etc. This is euro dance crap. I think that to much of this euro dance is being lumped into the same genre of music as the groups I mentioned and that is sad. Just because there are keyboards and its dance music does not mean its in the same genre as Iris de/vision etc.

I love remixes.

The CD opens up, with a rather, open/airy song: "Give Me". I fall in love with the singers voice, it's very beautiful and smooth. I love smooth voices. The song it's self is slow, and kinda dancy. More of one of those slow tracks to let everyone rest.

Most of the songs after that are slow and airy, and then we have, "Close Your Eyes" which speeds things up a bit. It has a good beat, and those same beautiful vocals.

Then we come to "Bleed". It's kind of dark. Rock feel to it, which I was surprised at. It's very pretty, and really shows it's dark undercurrents.

The rest of the songs, are rather dark, and it surprised me. Due to the first songs, and then coming to this dark stuff. It becomes brighter with Superstar, but then falls back into the dark sound that I am used to.

All in all, I love this CD. It's new. It's different, just what I have been looking for. I love new things, and this new genre is great.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Pleasant Surprise, January 21, 2004

I anxiously awaited the release of this CD after I purchased the "Devil In Me" single. Whereas the single (and its remixes) seem a bit more dancefloor friendly, this full-length has songs for every mood. Personally, I feel the first two tracks ("Give Me" and "The Sweetness of my Pain") are the strongest. I could not get them out of my head for days!
My only gripe? The bonus disc should have included the "Devil In Me" Melodramatic Goodbye Mix. This gorgeous remix is one of the most beautiful songs released in the last few years. Be sure to pick it up on the "Devil In Me" single. It's worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Have You Ever Touched a Dream?, June 4, 2005

I've come to rely a great deal on A Different Drum to provide me with good, quality synthpop-styled music that rarely disappoints. They're a small independent record label that supports and markets groups such as Daybehavior, enabling these talented unknowns to express themselves freely and to actually get their musings out there... I first heard of Daybehavior through an Internet acquaintance who recommended them to me. They said it was "my type of music" and was pretty adamant about it, so with time I listened to samples, liked what I heard, and decided to buy it... Needless to say I was glad I did! Daybehavior's 'Have You Ever Touched a Dream?' swirls with heavenly female voices set to energetic as well as soothing electronics, sounding like an amalgam of Solar Twins and Mandalay with their darker down-tempo/trip-hop melodies, and like ATB/Lasgo with the more uplifting, club friendly dance-pop tracks. The only song that's cast apart from the others is "Devil In Me" which is deeply infused with driving industrial beats.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Hidden Gem, December 13, 2003
This review is from: Have You Ever Touched a Dream? (Audio CD)
So on a whim I went and bought Daybehavior - Have You Ever Touched A Dream?. Man is this CD an unexpected gem. I love the music. Its not to often you find a nice electronic CD where the main vocalist is female. The CD spans the gamut with dreamy vocals, trip-hop flavored songs, fast danceable club tracks.

After the first listen the CD didn't hit me, but after leaving it in my car CD player for a few days the songs really grew on me. "Give Me" starts off the CD with the right feel, a more mid tempo song with a really awsome/catchy chorus. I love the dreamy feel of "Heaven," the hopeful feeling in "Close Your Eyes," the slow contemplative sound in "Bleed," the awsome hooky chorus in "Happy Fairtale," the upbeat, dancy "Superstar," the poppy "Mon :Ami," and the hard hitting "Devil in Me". As you can see the songs follow the gamut of types and they all have very fitting music that compliments each song very well. The sounds are varied and really help to make the songs memorable. My favorite song of the CD has to be "I've Never Died Before," Its a nice slower song which really accentuates how awsome of a voice Paulinda has. The Italian on the song "La Commedia" is a nice treat.

A highly recommened CD. There are some definate gems on here, this CD will be one of the unsung releases of 2003.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!, December 9, 2003
This review is from: Have You Ever Touched a Dream? (Audio CD)
I like every single song on this LOOOOOOONG awaited second album by Daybehavior. It was well worth the wait (although I certainly hope I don't have to wait quite as long for the next one!). The editorial review did a better job describing the album then I could ever do, I just wanted to share with everyone how much I like this album :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Catchy dance pop, March 11, 2006

This review is from: Have You Ever Touched a Dream? (Audio CD)
I recently discovered Day Behavior when I heard a remix of their song of "Close Your Eyes" on the latest cd by DJ Copper Top. I absolutely was hooked by the catchy hooks. Normally my taste in muisc leans towards EBM, goth, and industrial music but I occasionally will dabble in the poppier side of dance music. I recently got a copy of the Scandinavian's album "Have You Ever Touched a Dream?". I was hooked the moment I heard the opening song "Give Me". I love the lush female vocals and the gentle throbbing dance beats. My favorite songs are the more upbeat songs like "Give Me" and "Close Your Eyes" but I also dug the more downtempo tracks such as "Heaven" and "The Moments I Couldn't Save". I couldn't help but notice on the slower songs a slight resemblence to Olive and a smidgeon of Solar Twins. "Have You Ever Touched a Dream?" is a fun dance pop album. I enjoy it immensely.
