This along with the other early Barbara Carroll Japanese imports are a wonderful find and worth the comparatively steep price. That these recordings from 40-plus years ago are re-issued is proof that the unique Carroll talent, style and sound were there from the beginning. The new/old albums have fewer vocals than more recent CDs but are as happy a find as some undiscovered Porter songs or a long lost portfolio of Sloan drawings. The only drawback: These releases make me wonder if there are even more vintage recordings floating about out there.
