Charming story, great pictures. And the six year old can read it to him. They love the surprise at the end, every time.

I borrowed this book from the library. My 22 month old is completely obsessed with this book. It is perfect for her age. I have read it about 4 times per day for the past 30 days. I feel I need to buy the library a new copy now because I'm embarrassed about the condition now. It is a simple story for a kid with limited vocabulary. Really not for an older kid. My 5 and a half year old found it fun a few times but is definitely not nearly as interested as my almost 2 year old.

I read and reread this book to 31/2 yr old grandson. He loves listening and he is happy to point to the tiny glimpse of the new blue sock as the littlest peacock discovers it.
Yes I would recommend this for children 3-6 and their adults. It s a charming story with a plot line to which we adults can relate.

I remember reading "Are You My Mother?" as a child. This book is almost the same thing, but with socks instead. The duckling can't find his socks, and goes through the story searching for them. In the end he realizes he had them on the whole time. The pictures are cute, but overall it was kind of boring. No moral to this story, nothing to really discuss after reading it. My 3 year old niece was underwhelmed.

Searching for his new blue socks when they were right on his feet all the time. Young kids are going to love hearing this book over and over again

I love this book. I thought it was so cute as he cleaned out his toy box and saw the hilarious things flying out as he looked for his new socks. The whole story is so fun. I love Eve Bunting stories.

Eve Bunting never fails to please. Her simple word choice and topic are perfect for reading aloud to little ones. If you have ever misplaced anything, like a sock, you will delight in the story ending!

My 2 year-old grandson LOVES this book. He first got it at the library and I bought him a copy because he started crying when it was time to take it back.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I love the story line and the fun surprise at the end. The pictures are sweet but I wish the colors were brighter.
I like the rhyme and will enjoy reading this book to children. However I usually expect more originality from Eve Bunting. There fore I was only able to give this cute little book 4 stars.
