Bryan D! The singing machine!, April 29, 2008
This review is from: Have Yourself Committed & Holy Rollin (Audio CD)
I was a Bryan Duncan super freak back in the day. I was just a little kid but he was the one guy I listened to the most out of my little collection of Christian music. I must have made my mom and dad listen to his albums a million times. I remember seeing him at the football field of Ontario Christian High (I think twice) after Sweet Comfort disbanded but before his first solo album. I then saw him at my local church when he was touring for the Holy Rollin' release, where I got his autograph on our church bulletin! Then again, my parents surprised me by taking me to his Strong Medicine tour, whereafter, I wore a Strong Medicine shirt until it wore out. I actually think I still have it in a keepsake box somewhere.
As far as these albums go, this is where it all began. Great fun music, kind of it's own - definitely 80's - style. I was happy to find this CD. It's funny that I remember all the words to these songs, which I hadn't heard in probably fifteen years. My dad had Have Yourself Committed on vinyl! LOL. I had Holy Rollin' on cassette. Standouts for me on Have Yourself Committed include: Darkness is Falling, Maybe This Time, Child's Love, Last Graduation and Sweep Me Away - basically the whole album. On Holy Rollin' I like Remember Me and Everlasting Love. To sum up, if you're a Bryan D fan, this is a must have.
On a side note, I recommend picking up Sweet Comfort's Breaking the Ice album and also Bryan D's third album, Whistlin' in the Dark, my personal favorite.

I love it!, April 9, 2008
This review is from: Have Yourself Committed & Holy Rollin (Audio CD)
Have Yourself Committed is one of my favorite albums of all time. I wore out my cassette tape years ago, so I was very excited to find it had been released on CD. What a bonus to be combined with Holy Rollin! These two albums are a great pick-me-up if you're every feeling blue. They'll get you hopping.
