There are photos on almost every page, but they aren't as varied as I had hoped. Photos are sized well, but many of them lack contrast. Text is mostly limited to captions of the photos. I wanted to learn a lot more about this extraordinary wooden plane, but this book wasn't too helpful in that respect. I had expected to give it five stars, but I have to give it four now that I've received it. (And maybe that's being too generous.)
