This is a cute book that can be read in on sitting. I call books like this brian candy, you can read them in one sitting and they make you feel high like a suger rush. The woman in question wants a baby very much. To the point she is going to get a sperm doanner. Enter our hero, her best friend he hates the idea of doing this. Passion errupts and need less to say the baby is concieved the old fashioned way. A delightful book well written modern and very funny in places. A book for a day at the beach.

Artificial insemination, it's become almost common place in today's society. The process has opened new doors for couples who can't have children on their own as well as allowing women the chance to mother a child without the need of a mate. Beautiful, strong-willed Angela Justice considers this very option in HAVING HIS CHILD. Quickly approaching thirty and still single without the hope of a lasting romance in sight, she desperately wants a child and sees no other alternative.

Dr. Lucas Ryder, Pediatrician and Angela's best friend of fifteen years, has a different outlook on the situation. As a boy, Lucas suffered a terrible childhood. He grew up without a father and his mother abandoned him at a young age. Although his heart is consumed with love for children he has a very strong opinion of single parenting and no desire to have children of his own. However, when the fifteen years of feelings between Angela and Lucas begin to flourish in a different light and they begin to touch as they never have before, he insists some things should be left up to fate and passion.

Despite the newfound feelings that are growing deeper between the two of them with every touch, Angela remains determined to follow through with her plan. Lucas may love her as a woman now and not just as a friend but his decision of not having children hasn't changed. Then, just short of the sperm bank all plans are off. Angela discovers she's become pregnant the old fashioned way after all. She's pregnant with Lucas's baby.

HAVING HIS CHILD is a soft, sweet, contemporary romance filled with modern day problems and powerful characters that will sweep you away to a new land. The story line covers a delicate issue while twisting and turning in suspenseful ways holding the readers attention to the very end. Definitely a delightful read!

Okay, clear away an afternoon for this one, because you are not going to want to put it down ... definitely a five star romance and deserving of a spot on your keeper shelf. Angela Justice had reached out to Lucas Ryder when he was an angry, abandoned teenager. She had become his best friend, including him as part of her family. Fifteen years later, they're still best friends who care deeply for each other, but both are afraid of taking any step that might jeopardize their friendship. But their passion for each other can no longer be denied ...
