Book Description

"Mr. Baylor," the officer said, "have you ever met either of these women?"

Derrick's mind was numb, but somehow he managed to say, "No. Never."

"You're making the ladies nervous, and truthfully, you've got me wondering too--what is your business with this woman?"

Derrick pried his gaze from the woman's stomach and raised his eyes to hers. "She's having my baby."

~~~
Growing up, Jill Garrison never daydreamed about having the perfect wedding. Instead, she dreamt about having a baby. Boy or girl, it didn't matter. Unfortunately, her fiancé can't have children. Determined to realize her lifelong dream of having a baby, Jill spends years searching for a company (CryoCorp) that provides high quality donor sperm. Everything is right in Jill's world until her wedding day when her fiancé leaves her at the altar to be humiliated before friends and family. She doesn't waste any time moving from New York City to California to start over. And she keeps her appointment with Cryocorp. She may never have the wedding or the husband, but nothing is going to stop her from having a baby. She's tired of everyone telling her what to do. The baby she's carrying is hers and hers alone. Nobody can take that away from her.
Or can they?
About the Author
Theresa didn't know she wanted to be a writer until she read Jude Deveraux's A Knight in Shining Armor in 1992. She spent the next five years researching medieval times and writing Return of the Rose. She was also working full time and raising four children, but she knew she was a writer when nothing could stop her from getting the words to the page. She has garnered six Golden Heart nominations in Romance Writers of America's prestigious Golden Heart Competition for her work. After 19 years of rejections from traditional publishers, Theresa self-published in 2011 and went on to sell over 300,000 books in a little over a year. She recently signed her first publishing contract with Thomas & Mercer. Theresa writes medieval time travels, contemporary romance, romantic suspense, and thrillers under the name T.R. Ragan.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Cute and funny Book! June 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I loved, loved, loved this book. Needing money and desperate, Derrick donates some of his sperm for money but later gives the money back with a letter that he doesn't want his sperm used and wishes it was destroyed knowing that he could never live life knowing that he had a child out in the world. Later, he gets a letter stating that a recipient has chose his sperm. Of course, he needs to find this women so he could know for sure if he does have a child on the way. He does end up finding Jill and within minutes of meeting she goes into labor.
It's not easy to find a book that you can't find a flaw. With Jill and Derrick, I loved their personalities and their faults, they clicked so well and I never ha the urge to scream at the book because one was being stupid or didn't do what I wanted them to do or one say the wrong thing. Derrick has a big loving family (I want to say he has seven brothers and two sisters but don't quote me on that) amd you can't help but love them all, especially when all the brothers are together and messing and picking on each other. It's amazing that one mistake can bring so many people together and bring in so much love.
This was a great book that I would recommend to anyone and I can't wait to read more of Mrs. Ragan's books!!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Baby then love then comes marriage.... April 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
In our modern times, there are possibilities for lots of shenanigans with Sperm banks and clinical impregnation mixed with human error. This is the story that brings together two total strangers; Derrick and Jill. She is having his baby. Derrick is mortally afraid of moving on with his life (i.e. marriage, babies, etc) so when this happens without his knowledge he is more then a little crazy.
I would be too, if some stranger was having my baby!
I can see how the H/h thought that they were in love with people from their past that they were blind to the love that was kicking them in the face every time they were together. This is like a YA romance because there is little to no sex, but there was nothing missing because there is lots of emotional growth and funny loyal friendships.
This was well edited and a fun bittersweet read with a 'baby-then-falls-in-love' plot scenario.
4.0 out of 5 stars A fun fast paced romance February 8, 2013
By K.
Format:Kindle Edition
A great romance about two people brought together by fate. I really like that it wasn't just about the main characters. The author added a little extra with the romances of two supporting characters! I really enjoyed it and hope to see more from this author!
4.0 out of 5 stars Mushy
This is just a sweet simple story. Sure the whole idea of how they met and have a baby due to a mix up, is cute (potentially terrifying only cause human errors can be colossal). Read more
