About the Author
Julia J. Bartkowiak is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Clarion University in Pennsylvania. Uma Narayan is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Vassar College. She is the author of Dislocating Cultures: Identities, Traditions, and Third World Feminism (Routledge, 1997), which won the 1998 Victoria Schuck award of the American Political Science Association, and co-editor (with Mary Lyndon Shanley) of Reconstructing Political Theory: Feminist Perspectives (Penn State, 1997), which received an honorable mention for the same award.
