If you like gore and unbridled walks into wildly creative dark territory you should seriously consider reading the stories in this book. I haven't read any of his other work but this short story collection has given me a taste for his style, and from what I've read of his novels they are well worth reading. By the way, this guy co-wrote the screenplay for The Crow and some well-known horror franchises as well. He's a good read that'll keep you guessing.
