I've only watched the first 2 episodes, The Great Rift Vallety, and Hawaii, and they are excellent. Very informative information that is told in a really interesting manner. It really makes you say "huh, wow I never knew that" and it sticks with you. The visuals are amazing, very high production value. Only some CGI scenes need a little work.

All in all, a great series that's worth watching. You can really learn a lot about th origins, and the future of these great locales.

This was the best documentary, of its kind, that I have ever seen. The multimedia/graphic elements, narrator style, historical
elements, and geologic elements were extremely well put together. I wish that we could have more from Discovery like this.

The first three episodes (African Rift, Hawaii and Mediterranean) in this series provide quality geography information. If a teacher showed these to their students, I wouldn't accuse the teacher of slacking off.

Interesting look at the landscape from which our species evolved. That aspect was too important to leave out. If you prefer mythology, there are better places to look than geographic nonfiction specials such as this.
