Another Home Run,

This review is from: Hawaiian Paniolo: A Cowboy in the Islands (Paperback)
Joe Race has done it again! Each book gets better and better. If you love Joe's previous works, you'll love this fantastic tall tale even more. Choc-a-bloc with swagger, fun, and old-school he-man antics, Hawaiian Paniolo is a great way to escape a rainy or snowy winter day if you can't afford the plane ticket to Hawaii.

COWBOYS AND COWGIRLS,
By salvacion mendiola ""Island Girl"" (Tinian, CNMI, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hawaiian Paniolo: A Cowboy in the Islands (Paperback)
Our hero Roy Stearns rides west after the Civil War and has run-ins with outlaws, and cases of low-life pimps who are holding Chinese slave girls, used as prostitutes in Los Angeles. The adventure and excitement never ends - Roy get hauled off to Shanghai but escapes and establishes a good cowboy life at the famed Parker Ranch on the Big Island of Hawaii. Of course, along the way, there's plenty of romance and white hats vs. black hat bad guys. The author did a lot of historical research on this book and his writing is superb. I enjoyed his characterizations and how he solves evil problems in a cut-and-dry manner - simplistic but effective. I will look for more plots and excitement in his other books... and more hot romances. Bravo!

This review is from: Hawaiian Paniolo: A Cowboy in the Islands (Paperback)
Joe has taken the reader from the American Civil War to a modern cattle ranch in Hawaii. The struggle and hardships are felt by the reader as the lead character moves west through war-torn states and territories. His abduction onto what amounts to a slave ship and his final arrival in Hawaii exploits well-founder knowledge of the era as Joe writes. There is no doubt that joe Race has felt the dust of cattle and the sweet aroma of the islands as you read this book. i am anxius to read his Shrimp cookbook. Id joe cooks as well as he writes, my salivary glands are dancing. John Eisler, Author, THE TANNING BED MURDERS.
